I hope too! There's a new Target opening down the street from me so I got an ad this week with coupons and a $5/$25! I'm really curious to see if any of these Target coupons match with the sale!

I did get the Saturday Early Edition, but the Target ad was not in there. Minneapolis never gets it.

I am sure Shereen will be getting the coupon matchups as soon as she can get to them tomorrow (and as soon as she gets the paper). Let's all remember a little patience

We're not just impatient.. It's nice to be able to keep a look out of q's we might need and if I need something I know I can get it tomorrow on sale

Yet alone 3 other factors that a lot of people are not concerned w & don't care about, as several of us do & have to, as a lot of people that have a Target in their "backyard" take having that Target in their "backyard" for granted:

1) To reach the closest Target store: can be a 30 mile or more drive, one way. With the price of gas, planning ahead is the ONLY sensible way these people live.

2) If there is a really good sale, no one in your "backyard" to trade qs w, & the trade comes from Several States Away, the qs in the trade can take Up To 5 days to arrive.

3) It's unmannerly to snicker at or cut down anyone that has enough foresight to plan ahead.

It's called having foresite & good sense. Great that you have it, as a lot of people do not.

Honestly? I was putting it the nicest way possible. Every week there is a new thread created asking where the Target ad is. And then a nice person usually always posts the ad when they can post it. It creates useless threads, bottom line. I was trying to be nice about it, ok? In the future, I am going to ask that perhaps you think twice before 1) berating me as a FL here on this board and 2) creating a thread when a thread will be created as soon as someone gets the ad.

Please play nicely. The Target Forum Leaders spend countless hours working in this forum each week to get sales ads posted, create match-ups, and keep the forum organized and tidy. I have read this thread, and A20SomethingMother did not post any comments which were "cutting down" or "snickering" at others. We all realize that many of our members are anxiously awaiting the Target ads each week, and I assure you that all team members do their best to get the info out quickly and in a timely manner. Posts such as this are really uncalled for and not helpful.

I think this is a good opportunity to thank those that have volunteered to work in this forum and post the deals when they get them. Our team is unpaid, they do this because they love to share good deals and they love AFC

I rarely ever get the ad before Sunday and on Sunday Jackie and I work our best to get it done early for you guys..so please be patient...just like everyone here on these boards we have lives as well (kids, jobs, school, etc.) Remember we do this for you guys because we love AFC not b.c we get paid or b/c we have to so as said before PATIENCE!

Just a Friendly suggestion: How about Combining the two into one post when the ad is leaked, then the FL or Mod can combine the titles. I've seen that done in other store forums. Also: the Juicey Juice had 3 separate posts/threads here in Target, & went unchecked, due to posters not checking to see if a thread already existed. There is a solution for that, too.

FL/MODS/ADMIN: I have Another Friendly Suggestion: it can be programmed this way: when a person Attempts to post a thread in a forum, the SEARCH field would automatically pop up, & show if any threads have already been created. The poster would be able to see if the same subject is there or not. If not, the poster would start a new thread. If there already was a thread started on that same subject, then the poster would pick out which thread was appropriate for him/her to use.
Was that understandable, sometimes when I write techy stuff, it doesn't come out as my brain imagines it.
This would save time for FL, Mods, & Admins, let alone space.

I'm just trying to help save time & space.

Ok, I thought this was done and over with: because we don't need a thread every week begging for the new ad. It gets posted when it gets posted. Target ads are extremely hard to come by early, so waiting until a measly Saturday afternoon once a gracious member gets the time to type up the ad I don't think is a huge burden on any member here.

I am not trying to pick a fight or belittle or 'snicker' at anyone. And this is not the type of impression I want future or new members to have. However, all I said originally was to have a little patience and it will get posted. Hey, I understand people don't live close to a Target and they need to plan. But I don't know a single member here who wouldn't leak the ad to us early if they knew it was going to help other members.

We already encourage members to search before creating a thread. But I believe that the member who takes the time to post the ad, type it all up, etc should be the one to get credit.

Also, not all new members know to search for a thread first. It's easier just to have 'Target Ad date-date' as the title rather than 'early target ad?'

I agree with A20somethingmother 100%. There is no need to ask for the ad early whomever has the deals posts them...its not like ppl keep them from everyone...Also it is programmed when you start a thread that you can view above it similar threads. We try very hard in keepiong this forum clean and merging similar threads. However, sure it happens we miss some or we can't get on to a AFC every single minute of every day.

Also next time you have a "friendly request" for the team do it the "contact us forum or pm us directly. There is no need for this type of discussion in an open forum.
