Soooooo......
Today I finally got my hands on more Pert Coupons and I really wanted to go to the store and get more for free, so I was out and about the whole day, but I was away from my hometown, so I decided to stop into a different WAGs than I have in the past. Since I am fairly new that this whole couponing thing, I dont think I was totally prepared for what happened. I had 8 Qs, so I picked up 16 Pert bottles(mind you, there were four shelves FULL of Pert) and I picked up two other regular priced items that I needed. I proceeded to the register with all three of my children in tow and this is what went down:
I walk up to the register and before I even stop the cart...
Old Man cashier: "I may as well call a manager now b/c even though there is no limit, I doubt you can buy out the WHOLE store"
Me: "ummm.....okay"
Cashier to Manager: "Can she buy all of these?"
Me to Manager: "What, I can only buy one?"
Manager to me: "No, but you can't buy our whole stock"
Me to Manager: "Then how many can I buy?"
Manager to me: "I'll LET you buy 12"
Me to Manager: "Fine, I'll take 12 then"
The cashier continues to ring me up and then sees the coupons and says...
Cashier: "I can't let you use this"
Me: "Why not?"
Cashier: "Because it is for more than the price of one bottle of Pert and that is coupon fraud"
Me: "Can't you just take $1.00 off of two bottles then?"
Cashier: "No b/c it states that it is for one bottle"
Me: "Then why can't I use it on one of the bottles?"
Cashier: "Because it is coupon fraud"
Me: "Take all of the Pert off of my bill because there are people lining up and I don't have time to argue this point with you"
Cashier: "Okay"

He then proceeds to accidentally put four of the bottles of shampoo in my bag and hand it to me. Good thing I am an honest person b/c I would have liked to have taken those with me just for the frustration of it all!!!

What should I have done in this situation??? I guess I don't understand his point. How is it fraud?

I am so sorry you had that happen. Personally I have never tried to buy that much of one thing at Wags, only at Walmart. I think next time try asking for a different manager. My nice manager told me there are 2 on staff most of the time. The other manager might be more reasonable. It is NOT coupon fraud though, if the size minimum was not stated on the coupon. These store people are so quick to throw around that word. They act like it is there money. Grr.

Nope, no size minimum!!! I sure wish that there wasn't a line of people there staring at me, though, b/c we would have had showdown in WAGs this afternoon! HEHE!!

I have totally been there so I know how you feel. Good luck. I would have been so ticked to have all 4 of my kiddos in there to have that happen.
