Hi,
I'm new here and excited to learn and get back to shopping deals. I hear that Kmart is having double coupon deals this week and read that some of the ladies will go back for more of the same items they use. Where do you get these multiple coupons for the same item? We don't sub. newspapers and buy just Sunday papers to get coupons every once in a while but you only get 1 coupon for the item you actually use (for example, Colgate toothpaste) when you buy Sunday newspaper. Do you all buy coupons online or swap them? (but then I need to wait for it to shipped to me...)
Just wondering how you guys manage to take adv. of these coupons for special deals/sales period.

I get the "guts" of my Sunday paper delivered on Saturday morning. Then, if I see the coupons are very good for that week, I will either run to CVS to get an early edition Sunday, or just buy another (or more) at the 7-11 on Sunday.
I have also done just a few trades on here as well. I have not used any of the clipper services, so I cannot speak for how that goes.

I have not done any trades yet but I usually buy 1 or 2 papers. I also get inserts from my mom if she has not thrown them away. When I take my recycle to the center I sometimes look a bit in the newspaper dumpster for inserts but I have to be sneaky because that is considered 'scavenging'. Good luck with whatever you do.

I look at the upcoming coupons to see if it is worth buying more then one paper. I buy it on Sat. at a dollar store, get a paper delivered, swap with my mom and my friends. I am trying to get more moms involved around here so we can swap. I like going through inserts and cutting out what I want then giving it to the next person to do the same.

A friend of mine's kids deliver the paper. They always have extra sunday inserts, so I asked them if I could have them. I give them a box of my bargain goodies now and again. I box up whatever free or almost free things I get at CVS/Target/Walmart that we won't use and give them a small box probably every 5 or 6 weeks. She's tickled with the goodies I give her and I'm tickled to get 5-12 free sets of inserts every sunday.

I buy multiple inserts so I do away with the rest of the paper. Buying from ebay/clipping service doesn't work for me. When there are unadvertised deals that crop up, it becomes hard to find the coupons I need as compared to when I have the full inserts and I just look for the coupons I need and go to the store immediately. When there are hot deals, it is necessary to be ready with your coupons and run to the store or else you run the risk of finding empty store shelves

If you go to a church that gets together for various things like Sunday School, ask around for extra Sunday coupons. Often older people or people who don't like to shop have no use for them and are glad to recycle them to someone who can use them. It will take a while to get them trained to remember them, but it is one way of getting coupons.

You can use The nations largest source of Grocery Coupons and maunfacturer Coupons. or other places of that kind. The quickest and most sure method is just buying more than one paper (look for the cheapest that has the coupons in the middle, not necessarily the one you prefer to read!), looking for coupons at the grocery store and taking what you want, picking up more than one flyer at a time if it has coupons in it, etc. (assuming they let you), and asking the ladies at the grocery stores who do demos if you can have 5 coupons instead of the typical one, for example...

i usually buy 6 papers...look for wine tags and red blinking machines...look on products for peelies..save until product goes on sale or i just need it..trade coupons..have not traded on here yet..but looking forward to it..

I do like the others have mentioned, get on subscription on saturday morning, if the coupons look good i go out and buy 4 or 5 more papers. I generally always buy extra papers when there is a p&g insert. I have a wishlist of items that I will use so I trade for those and that helps to build up my coupons in case a hot deal comes up i can be prepared!! You will also start to notice some of the brands/items that go on sale regularly so you can start to watch for those coupons as well. If I know there is a hot deal coming up but I won't use the item and I have the coupons, I try to trade those too for things I will use. Hth. It really becomes fun once you have been doing this for awhile b/c you can really start to see what is a good price for something and what is not!

I buy a paper every week. If there is any q's that I want more of I use the clipping service on ebay. I have tried to use other sites but with the min purchase requied I find ebay to be cheaper.

I buy up to 5 papers...We have one town nearby that has a few different q's in them, so I get 2 of those, and then 3 of the ones from my town. I save my change from the week and use that to buy my extra's.

I buy a few extra papers a week, my local gas station saves me the coupons form the papers that don't sell and I trade on here. I hope that helps

I buy 5-7 papers every week, we get a weekly county newspaper with the previous week's inserts in on Thursdays. So, on my way to pick up the kids on Friday, I stop at the local recycling center and scrounge. I usually get at least 3 or 4 extra inserts. The subdivision I stay in, also has a recycling area and I check it regularly. I usually end up with between 12 and 15 inserts for a week.
