I contacted corporate about this last time the revialift was free w. ecb and they sent me a raincheck and on it it said "Free after ecb".... well when I went to the store to use it, they said that had to charge me full price and then after I paid they would issue me a giftcard with that amount on it. (which I am totally fine with) However, I asked the guy why corporate said to do it one way and then they do it differently, and he said he didn't know, but that its how the district manager wanted it done. I know at 2 of the cvs's near me, this is how they normally do it... however, yesterday I asked for a raincheck on the st. ives and the girl wrote 99 cents, which was the cost after ecb... so I guess we will see what happens when I go to use it there never consistent.... but as long as I GET a raincheck, I can make it work!!

Good morning Everyone, I have not heard back from Corporate yet, but suspect I'm just plain out of luck on this one. Oh well. I'm mainly a Rite Aid girl anyway :-) If I do hear from them, I'll still share, MaryJeanH

I get 2 answers . Sometimes they write just free if it would be totally free after ecb and also I have received a raincheck saying the gift card after I purchase it. If there is money still involved ie the St Ives they will write the raincheck for the amount after the ecb would have printed. That is nice but messes up when you want to use a coupon that is more than the item. Then you have to see if they will adjust down your coupon. I hade that problem with raincheck on the razors coupon that was $2 and they had to write the raincheck for 99cents . This was for the bic advance 3. They are not consistent in my 4 stores.

It's amazing how inconsistent each store is!! Thanks for posting the response you received from corporate!

I went to CVS for the first time in many months to buy the Crest Pro whitening, Garnier, and the L'oreal. Got the Crest and Garnier, but they were out of the L'Oreal product. So I asked the lady for help and she said they are out. I asked her if they offer a substitute. She said they didn't, but they just received a delivery and if I would like to wait and see if they are on the truck I was welcome to. Or, she can get me a raincheck.

I asked if I would receive the ECB if I buy it later. She said, no, because they will just ring up the product at $0.00!!! So, I bought the crest and garnier and waited a few minutes and checked if they had the L'oreal on the truck. Nothing.

Since I was on my lunch break, I went back to the register and asked about the raincheck. The cashier just reached around the register and handed me a raincheck and it had instructions on there to ring up at $0.00!!

Boy, I didn't realize how lucky I was to have a CVS that is so prepared!!!

CVS e-mail is very slow to respond -- it often takes a week or more for them to get around to actually replying to your question/concern/comments. To me, that's a pathetic response time and they should be thoroughly embarrassed about the lack of customer care they project with the slow response.

Just wait a few more days. I'm sure that someone will get around to you later than sooner. And if they send you a follow up survey, just be sure to give them extremely poor marks for how quickly they responded to your e-mail.

Im going to test my stores here.....to see what "their" policy is. I know one time I asked for a raincheck on the wipes price....I asked for 6 when they asked me how many, and then was told "Well we can only write it for 4!" --there was no "limit" in the ad.

Anyway.good to know. Thanks all.

Unfortunately, she played that great. By just shutting up and waiting, she made you blink. DON'T BLINK!! Eventually the other person will

called corporate from the register

I had a manager refuse to give me a rain check, so I called corporate from my cell phone with her standing there. The girl at corp said she was supposed to issue me a rain check for $0.00 and I told her the manager refused and was standing with me in the store. She asked to speak to the manager who still refused but did give her name and store #. When I got back on the phone with corporate she said she would just mail me one out herself. I haven't gotten it yet or tried to redeem it, but we'll see what happens.

I had the well patch raincheck that said $5.99 with $5.99 ECB and the cashier just price adjusted it to $0.00 because the ECB's wouldn't print since the deal was over. However, this may change with the addition/activation of the magic "ECB button?"

Hi All, I finally did hear back and got a nice email. Please read below:

Thank you for contacting CVS/pharmacy. We are in receipt of your e-mail regarding the availability of Revitalift at our Lawrenceville, GA CVS/pharmacy location.

There was an overwhelming response to the two-day sale and I apologize you were not able to obtain the product and the $11.99 ExtraBucks. As a result of this overwhelming response, we are sending you a raincheck to receive this item for free. Please accept our apology that the store did not issue a raincheck. The store should have written the raincheck minus the ExtraBucks. I have forwarded your comments to Carmen Jones, District Manager and made him aware of your comments. We have requested that he update his staff on raincheck procedures. I have also contacted several individuals within our organization and made them aware of your comments. This will certainly help our efforts to ensure that the store has adequate stock, making your future experiences more pleasurable.

Once again, thank you for contacting CVS/pharmacy and we look forward to serving you in the future.

>>>>>
So that is very nice of them! The staff in my particular CVS tend to be courteous and nice. But it'll be even better if they know to give the rainchecks!

Happy Monday, MaryJeanH

I had the same thing happen to me today in Evans, GA. She (the manager) said they were not allowed to give rain checks for ECB items .... I collected her/stored information and explained I was going to call corporate. She did a 360 and wrote me a rain check. I wish I could said this store is friendly.....but they're not. At this moment I don't want to shop at this CVS store because of poor customer service.

I get the raincheck and the ECBs in giftcards, which as we know are more flexible than the ECBs. This works great because then I do not have to check back in the same week to see if something is back in stock (it never is).

You may not get them this way much longer. Starting next week, the ads have 'offer numbers' next to the ecb deals, and the stores are supposed to use these numbers to make the ecbs print when there's a glitch and also for rainchecks. The stores will then be able to have an actual ecb print out of the register for you when you use your raincheck.
