I freeze sticks and containers of whipped butter all the time...butter has a long expiry lead time. The stuff that's out there should be good into next year (through the upcoming baking season). Wish we had a Kroger here in the NY. :-(

I got 6 tubs today (my price was $.89). I only had $1/2 coupons but still a good deal.

For every 2 tubs I bought, a $.75 OYNO catalina printed. Got my 6 pounds of butter almost for free after that.
