That's great! I'd call the manager and tell him how great of an employee he was. It's rare you find someone who doesn't mind you using q's and making multiple transactions.

did this at 2 Walgreen's myself ![]() though sadly my oop is around $6 and $7. but due to a DS that is always wanting a toy or candy or cookie I have a bigger oop to keep him happy . I found that I was able to do 6transactions w/o much hassle. only problem was the customers behind me hehe. all well got enough mouth wash and toothbrushes/floss to last me for awhile |

I had also been told that you could not use one RR to pay for a different item and it spit out another RR...I am going to try this tomorrow. By the way my WAG is not coupon friendly or customer friendly for that matter! thanks AFC!!! |

Does the total BEFORE tax have to equal the amount of the RR? I had a 10.00 RR and got both the reach and pro health, but that would only be 9.49, so I added a can of soup (on sale for 1.25) and so my total was 1.44 since they calculate the tax on the amount before coupons.

| total of RR
In regards to your question.....you didn't "have" to buy the soup -- you just would have lost any difference in the total and the amount of your RR. So, if the total came to $9.49 and you handed them a $10 RR, you wouldn't get any change back so it was wise to do as you did and buy the soup. Even though you had to pay some OOP, in my opinion it was worth it cause you got something you needed for less. I did the deal last night at a different store and the cashier in the cosmetic dept was again friendly and smiling as she did it. I mentioned to her that my girls and I prepare goodie bags for our church food pantry and they are going to be getting allot of mouthwash and toothbrushes soon! It's been my experience that if the cashier thinks you are being greedy and taking advantage of it for your own good they aren't as happy....but if you are sharing your wealth, they support it. I would never lie and tell someone I was donating when I wasn't -- but if you are, even if it is just a small portion of what you accumulate, share that information with the cashiers. They are usually happy to help out and happy for what you are doing. When I did the BOGO free Rimmell eye shadow deal a while back I mentioned that I never wear eye shadow but that I was donating all of it to a local rape crisis center. One of my neighbors works there and says that things like that go a long way to making women feel better about themselves. The cashiers were all too happy to ring it up and comment about what a good deal it was and how "smart" I was. Truth is...I'd never have figured this stuff out on my own without the help of others like you who share your stories and tips. |

that's so great that you all donate. If I find a deal like that and I don't need the items I am totally going to do the same. I already volunteer my time to an ALS patient but sometimes your time isn't always what they really NEED. It's so great to see people that are so giving. Especially when it's not Christmas.. it seems alot of people only feel generous during that time of the year. Keep up the good work everyone!

Ok guys, how do you get the RR's? I think I got a $5.00 one a while back when I bought the Robutissin cough syrup. I just used it on a purchase to WG a couple weeks ago. It was scanned for the entire purchase. Isn't that the way it works or am I reading your posts and getting the idea that these RR's should be used on other things?

I have a $2 RR. I don't have Q's for the Reach TB, but I have $.75 Q for the ProHealth. Which one should I do first and what would be my OOP?

I would do the crest pro health first if I were you. Use the $2 RR and the $.75 Q and you'd have a small oop. Then you'll get the $4.50 back in RR to use for the toothbrushes or floss which is 2/$5 and you'll have a $.50 oop for that and get the $5.00 Rr back on that - can keep doing it too!!! Just make sure if you then go to use the $5.00 RR on the crest that you get a filler for at least $.51 or you won't be able to use the RR

For example: Say you have a $5 RR from robitussin. This week: Buy 2 Reach Toothbrushes (cost $5) Ue your $5 RR from the robitussin, and pay tax. You get back another $5 RR from the toothbrushes. Take that RR and buy a Crest Pro Health Mouthwash (500ml) and a $.50 filler (or whatever amount that is at least $.50) so your total is about $5.00. Use your $5 RR from the toothbrushes to pay for it. Get a $4.50 RR from the mouthwash. You can then use your $4.50 RR to buy more toothbrushes (and so on...) Just make sure that you don't use a mouthwash RR to pay for another mouthwash or you won't get a new RR (that is called chaining and WAGs catalinas are set up not to allow it). Also, you can't get 3 mouthwash RRs in the same transaction, so break them up in to separate transactions. Also watch out if the items you are buying are from the same mfr (i.e. Wyeth, P&G etc.) Sometimes if you use a RR from their brands, another one will not print out. Check out the WAGs 101 thread that is stickied and if you have any more questions after that just ask. |
