| internet coupons
So walmart has been the worst when it comes to internet coupons. But I have found that if you are lucky enough to have self check-out lanes they work fine there (as long as your not getting overage). I am just so sick of employees not knowing the company policy about internet coupons. I tell them that I have written walmart and have gotten back an e-mail saying that they DO in fact take internet coupons. Then they ask me if I have the e-mail with me! Yeah, like I carry my e-mails around with me. I am just so frustrated and from now on get any overage things from CVS and using self check-outs!

There is a post about this in the walmart forum. And a lilnk where you can print out a copy of their coupon policy and carry it with you! Keep it right in your coupon binder/carrier. There is great discussion of IP and using them at Walmart. You can always write to corp and complain about your particular store not following the coupon policy that they have right on their Walmart.com: Save money. Live better. website. HTH |

Here is the link. It is a lengthy discussion but well worth the read! http://www.afullcup.com/forums/walma...t-coupons.html |

Yeah, when I e-mailed walmart they gave me a copy of their policy. But that's my point, we shouldn't have to carry around a store's policy with us when we go grocery shopping. It should just be followed. And it's just a constant problem, they aren't getting it.

On my trip last night, I had around $80 in q's. They all scanned fine. No problem with the cashier at all. The CSM had to come over to approve the transaction and started looking through my q's. No problem with me because I know all of my q's are legit. Then she picks out the internet q's and tells the cashier that there is a limit of 1 IP q per transaction. I said, "that is incorrect." She tells me that I am incorrect and that is their coupon policy. I said, "Here is your corporate coupon policy." as I hand her the coupon policy. She reads it and says, "Oh, they must have changed it. It used to be only one IP per transaction." Not since I've been shopping. I wonder how many other people she has denied legit coupon usage to because she was misinformed. My company motto is "Misinformation Costs You Money". In our case, it is the stores and cashiers misinformation that costs us money! I never leave the store unless all of my legit coupons are taken even if that means I have to hold up the line until the store manager comes out. Take care, Tami |

| Yes, that is true, we shouldn't have to carry a copy of the policy, but if you want to use the IP coupons, then I guess it is the only answer. There is so many different variations about why one wm won't take IP's as the next. However, if you have the policy with you after they tell you they can't take them, they will more than likely take them. Then when you get home, you email corp and tell them your store that you were at and let them know how frustrated you are of what went on and what a hassle it is. HTH

I carry it with me in my Q binder--I've never had any issues with IP's AND I work in Corp. WM offices. The stores around me are usually pretty good but there is always a first time for everything! I still run into an occassional 'bad' experience so this will just save me some breath and I can just show them the policy.

If only it would be that easy...the policy is out there for all stores to see in their training manuals; policies and policy changes have been emailed to stores on occassion before but it strictly depends on if the store associate reads (and understands) the email AND gives the message by word of mouth as well. Cashier's do not have email access but the CSM's do (but all WM associates have access to the training guides).
