| CVS coupon question...When do you need a filler item???
OK...I have a quick coupon question. Item I want to buy $15.00 Manu Coupon $ 1.00 CVS $2 off $10 coupon $2.00 TOTAL $12.00 Yes, ECB's will be earned on the second transaction that I do like this. And can I sitll use ECB's that I earned last week ot pay the $12 out of pocket? Is this OK to do? We were discussing the kimberly Clark deal coming up next week and I had included a filler in this particular type of a transaction. Is a filler required? I thought at CVS if you have 10 items and 10 coupons it's fine, but if you have 10 items, 10 manu coupons, and 1 CVS $$ off $$$, that wouldn't work, you needed a filler item...due to have 11 coupons and only 10 items. Thanks so much for the clarification. Still learning the ropes!

You should be able to use both the manu Q and the 2/10 q on your purchase of one item. And yes, you can use last week's ECB to pay for it, provided your ECB doesn't exceed what you will be paying. They are normally good for 30 days after issue.... and longer at some stores. I frequently have more coupons than items.... I think it used to be a problem for people in the past, but not any more...

CVS's registers are supposed to be programmed to allow 1 manufacturer's coupon *and* 1 cvs coupon per item. ECBs may show up on your receipt as a 'coupon', but they are not counted as one by the register and do not go against your coupon total that you are allowed to use. So you should be fine w/ what you want to do, as long as there are no little gremlins in the register that day.
