FYI: I went to Super Target today and they had a lot of the Halloween costumes out. I've been pricing them online, and they're SO expensive....plus the shipping costs. My son wants to be Optimus Prime - $44.00 on line, plus S&H. I found it at Target for $30.00! I could've probably got it cheaper as it gets closer to Halloween, but I didnt want to risk it being sold out. He would've been devastated.

Grab it now--yes the cool ones sell out fast! Last year my DS4 (then 3) wanted to be Prince Edmund. I bought and returned that thing over and over waiting for a 10% or 15% sale to hit so I could get a price adjustment...then it did...then he decided he wanted to be a Clone Trooper! |

I'm going to be a cheapskate this year. DS will be wearing his baseball uniform. LOL! Well, this is the plan for now. Not sure what DD will want to be. Something cute and girly, I'm sure.

DD will be only 16 months this Halloween, so she will be Minnie Mouse (I have a hand-me-down Minnie Mouse dress and ears). I know this may be my last chance to choose her costume before she decides on her own what she wants to be. irishgirl -there's nothing wrong with ds wearing his uniform! Dh tells me that he was always a pirate every year - with an old flannel shirt, bandanna, and a patch on his eye. And I can't count how many times I was a "nerd" with thick glasses and clashing clothes

My daughter has so many costumes. . she is a shorty and can still fit into many of them. Im trying to talk her into wearing one of them instead of buying yet another costume. . I would like to go cheap this year. Haha.My soon to be 14 yr old hasn't been out trick or treating since he was 10 years old. He always helps me pass out the candy as my husband and daughter go out. |

I have a tinkerbell costume bought last year on disney.com around December for My daughter's first birthday but it runs small (size 12 months). I had to reorder size 18 months along with the tiara and wand. So I actually have 2. Anyone interested?

My daughter has a full "Sandy" 50s outfit because she was in the Grease production last year. So adorable Poodle skirt, shirt, scarf, etc... Im hoping I can talk her into that as she is so cute in it. ( she was Sandy). She also has an adorable Devil's costume for girls. My neighbor made it and its gorgeous. Red sparkly cape, red/black dress like costume under it, devil's horns, and pitchfork.. Girly devils outfit that Im sure I can sell at some point. Girly girl witch outfit (never worn it as yet.). My neighbor is one heck of a seamstress. I watch her kids so she makes me costumes for free. I always tell her she could go into business |

I got mine at Old Navy last year for $2.xx. It's a dinosaur one that's nice and thick and should be cozy for the baby. Sad, he wasn't even born yet and I already had his costume. haha.

I got a Sleeping Beauty costume from Disney Shopping (online Disney Store) for $15.00 last year around Christmas - originally was $39.50. And I got the tiara, wand and shoes for about $10.00 more. I'm selling Minnie Mouse and Tinkerbell costumes on eBay right now that my dd has previously worn (although one is NWT) - the re-sale value is awesome for Disney Store costumes. If you can get one this year at 75% off or better (a popular one - like a Princess or Minnie Mouse) - it's a good investment. Especially if your child gets some use out of it (but not damaging it)!

I normally get them at Target the year before when they have 75-90% off but last they didn't have any that would have fit dd. About 2 weeks ago we stopped at a rummage sale and dd found a chearleading costumer for $1 and I wasn't even thinking Halloween! Bless her and she's only 6!

I make my kids' costumes. Last year they were a fireman and a Dalmatian. I have also made a cow and a tin man. This year, I think I will make them doctors.

Since everyone more than likely has t.p. in their stockpile you could use some to make a mummy costume! My mom wrapped my little brother in tp one year and made hime a mummy and it was hilarious!

I found my DD a dress up soldier costume on Amazon last year. I think I paid $4 something for it and she wears it all the time. My husband hasn't seen her in it yet but he is going to gush, now just to convince him to wear a pair of ACU's when we take her to the halloween party LOL
