| Smart Shopping is not a crime.. right?
A couple of weeks ago I had a really bad experience with a CVS manager. Grumpy, 68-year old man, obviously hates his job. He caught me at the wrong time and we actually got into it over the $2 skincare Q (RIP ) Anyway, I was so peeved that I ended up going back 3 nights later and speaking with the store manager. I told her about the incident and she even pulled up the transaction and looked it over and just laughed at how he'd want to give me a hard time over .79 soap!! I was so relieved. She said he'd be talked to (this past Wednesday) and the district manager was informed as well and she'd be talking to him too. In fact, they already knew about the incident because he'd blown it out of proportion talking about me and was planning to report me to Loss Prevention! I'm so glad I spoke to her because she thought it was a real incident. She told me he was a former homicide investigator and is suspicious of everyone and thinks everyone is out to get him "because he's old." Please. I'm 24 years old, I can easily say the world is against me because I'm young. I went back there yesterday to look for some items my other store didn't have and HE was working. Boo! He followed me INTENTLY around the store just staring at me. I never made eye contact with him, I never even acknowledged he was there because I felt that would make me look like I'm worried about being watched so I just went about my business. As soon as I would grab my coupon book and start digging for coupon treasures, there he'd be as if I'm shoving stuff in there to steal. I wanted to say, look, I get this stuff so inexpensively, why steal?? This is much more fun! Does anyone else have this issue? I feel like the stores I go to all think I'm this criminal that these good deals just can't be legit. It's actually quite embarassing because some employees/managers will talk down to you like you're this nuisance. After reading so much on AFC, I feel like half the time I could run the register better than most of these employees I deal with, because they don't seem to understand coupons!!!

I agree.... you've told the manager, the district manager, now It's time to step it up a notch....At the very least, bring it to the managers attention AGAIN. She may have talked to him, and he may be mad about being spoken to in regards to the incident, so be wary about shopping on his shift til he gets over it. He may seriously scrutinize everything you do. Sorry you had such a terrible incident... hopefully the manager/CS will address it. Good luck!

That's my biggest worry about reporting him again.. that he'll make my shopping experiences a living hell. Do you guys know your favorite employees approximate schedules and plan accordingly? Luckily, I have 4 stores within just a few miles of me so I have options. My options are just limited when all the other stores are out of what I want.

OK poor guy! LOL He's gone from investigating homicides to working at CVS! Sounds to me like he's having a hard time coming to terms with this job change and now he's hoping to bust some "harden criminal" at CVS. Kelly |

I agree with the PP's, call corporate. In the meantime, next time he is following you around the store look him in the eye and ask him if you can help him with something or if he just has a crush on you That'll throw him for a loop! You are doing nothing wrong! SHop on girl!
