I think there are only a few of us who are AFC that have Rainbow Foods near them. I know Roundy's has a few more stores, but specifically Rainbow is limited to the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Does anyone have any idea of how to increase traffic in this forum? Please let me know if you do! Rainbow does not really offer too many really GREAT deals most of the time, and won't take IP's over $1. They limit 5 coupons to double on Wednesdays, if you spend $25. I want to make sure that I am doing the best FL job I can, so please, feel free to let me know............give me your opinion, what would you like to see?

I live in WI and we have a Roundy's store as well - except ours is PickNSave. I know there are others as well. I occasionally browse this forum b/c a the stores usually have the same deals (ie the Unilever deal a couple of weeks ago). I love double coupon day! We have the same promo - Wednesdays only, must spend $25. I always double five $1 coupons. In order to get up to $25, I try to use coupons for free stuff (free Coke from Coke points, free Sara Lee bread, free Powerade after coupon, etc) I noticed my last ad didn't say "ends Sept 10"; rather it said "double coupon day is Every Wednesday!" so hopefully this will no longer be a summer-only promotion. Maybe this could be a "Roundy's Stores" forum instead of exclusively Rainbow? It is an expensive store if you do all your regular shopping there, but following their loss leaders and matching up with coupons really can net you some great deals, esp if you get them on Wednesdays |

Sorry - I can't help too much with ideas to increase traffic. Rainbows are so infrequent for me to shop at with their IP coupon rules. I do browse the Sunday ads and noticed that the double Wednesdays are still going on with no mention of it being only for the summer. Anyone know for sure how long that will last??

I thought it lasted until Sept 10 - but my neighbor thought she had heard it was extended until 9/30. Honestly, I don't shop at Rainbow too often unless there's a really good deal. Since my ds goes to swim lessons across the parking lot from one, it is easier for me to access - but still haven't found that many good deals. I'm not sure how they stay in business. I have yet to be in their store when it seemed even REMOTELY busy! I guess I haven't tried any IP coupons - but I thought I had. If I did, I didn't have any problems - or I would have remembered! In fact, I'm pretty sure I did use some IPs on the Batman movie deal in July. Hmmm...

Rainbow has such higher prices that unless there is a great sale or I can get enough for doubles I usually don't bother. I enjoy doubles when I can make it work, but I don't spend $25 per wk for all the groceries that I buy so spending $25 before coupons can be hard unless the deals are great. I too noticed that it now says doubles every Wednesday. I am hoping that this means they will continue as they used to be. Maybe they saw that they didn't make as much without the doubles. |
