| BOGO Info DIRECTLY FROM CORPORATE
I just had to email and ask for myself and thought I'd share the reply since I like it and it sounds good to me. August 27, 2008 Dear Mr. Rials, Thank you for taking the time to email us with your concern regarding our store at 11118 S. Memorial. Please be assured that Walgreens takes customer comments and complaints very seriously, and we will continue to try to improve the way we do business. When using two Buy One Get One free coupons, one item is being purchased while the two are free. A total of three items will be received. If a Buy One Get One free coupon is used on top of a Buy One Get One free sale, both items are free. Again, thank you for taking time to bring your comment to our attention. We hope you'll give us another chance to serve you. Sincerely, Anna K. Consumer Response Representative

But ummmmmm, if I may; I sent them another email in response this one and stated that if a items is on on sale for B1G1 and the customer has a B1G1 Free coupon doesn't that mean that the customer gets the both items Free and only have to pay the tax? I really think the person missed my point about the the coupon that being used and that it already states B1G1. Then I went on to give an example of the Glade Warmers that are on Bogo this week. Opinions appreciated!

^^ I think it is also inconsistent, two Buy One Get One free coupons, one item is being purchased while the two are free (so they mean all you get are 3 items with 2 BOGO Qs?) if you have 2 BOGO coupons, shouldn't you be buying 4? 2 items are covered by the BOGO coupons and 2 are free courtesy of the store. which is correct? |

i wish i had this about an hour ago The walgreens manager closest to my house gave me the dreaded "you have to pay for one, you can't get both for free" speel.i went to another walgreens earlier today and did the rimmel deal no problem. Guess I'll have to print this out and try again tomorrow.... They were nice enough to order me a box of formula for next week. THe B1G1 50% will be a good deal... |

I"m confused, If you have 2 coupons for b1g1 aren't you paying for two items and getting 2 free. it is buy one and get one free. But then again i'm so new here and trying to figure this out..... |

| Yes! I thought the same exact thing when I read it. To me it makes no sense.

I was confused about the 2 BOGO as well, but as I read the other posts and thought more about it, I think I have it figured out. You have product X and coupon Z. Put on the counter 1X 2X 3X. Use coupon 1Z, so pay for 1X and get 2X free. Coupon 2Z is for 2X so pay for 2X (but not really cause 1Z got it free) and get 3X free. Follow? Makes perfect sense to me, but could be because it's after 1 am. This is actually better than walking out the store with 4.

| You should get 4 items for free your coupon is paying for the one that you are buying, the store fills the price in on the coupon as if you were actually paying for it. The second free one is courtsey from the store or company. I sed 3 BOGO q's and got 6 glades completely free.

My interpretation of the memo is that this scenario (2 BOGO coupons, 3 items total) is for when there is NOT a BOGO sale going on. When there is a BOGO sale, use one coupon for each pair of items and they're both free.

I guess what the store is missing is that you are not getting the item you use the BOGO coupon for free, you are PAYING for it with the BOGO coupon. Do they not get their money for the coupon you use? YES, so you are paying for the one you use a coupon on. I don't think they will ever understand that. I always say to them "NO, you are getting paid for the coupon I am using, thus I am paying for the item."

I asked corporate about this too, my letter I received from Corporate isn't so confusing and states that with a BOGO Sale, you can use a BOGO Coupon, therefore, both are free, you just pay tax. I printed it out and carry it with me, just in case it happens again. Here's the link that includes the copy of the e-mail I received back from Corporate. http://www.afullcup.com/forums/walgr...swer-bogo.html

Ok, let me explain the combining of two B1G1 coupons, because I indicated in the email that I submitted that I would think it should be three and here's why. First off you have to BUY or pay for one item. If the first B1G1Q is from weekly ad or ESV and the other is manufacture and you combine the concept of the two it results in three items. You Buy one...you get free...you've already bought the one...you get another free. At no point would it result in four items. A B1G1 sale joined with with a B1G1Q results in TWO items both free.

Curves has a coupon booklet out and I've been literally going nuts buying those Blue Diamond almonds @ Walgreens.. coupon is for $1 off 8-oz walnuts.. the ones that are BOGO are actually 6-oz, but the register accepts them so I've been getting them 2/1.49 using 2 coupons. quite cool |

let's say regular price is 1.59 and there is a 7dayWAGc @ 2/1.59 BOGO glade 1 =1.59 glade 2 =1.59 subtotal =3.18 less 1.59 BOGO Q = 1.59 less 1.59 WAGc = 0.00 that is combining a WAG roto ad coupon and MQ, I combined 1 WAGc and 1 MQ BOGO to get 2 free. |
