I found a wine tag today from Bonterra Vineyards. It says "Save $1.00 instantly on Organic Produce WHEN YOU PURCHASE Bonterra wine. ($3.00 minimum purchase required). Expires: 5/31/09 I'm in NC, and I've never seen a wine tag state that - I thought in wasnt necessary to purchase the actual wine, beer, etc in order to use the wine tag in NC. Or.....do we have to since its actually stated on the wine tag? I would think we would need to, but can someone explain this to me? I'm so confused.........! TIA!

I'm not sure about the NC rule, but it's usually about half and half for me to find "wine purchase required" and "no wine purchase required". I live in SC.

I know that all the rebates for NC are no alcohol purchase required, but I if it's a coupon you do have to purchase the required products.

I'm pretty sure the law still states that you can't require the wine purchase in NC. I'm sure the the wine company didn't know better or didn't care. You could technically argue that you don't have to purchase the wine since it's against the law but I'm betting no store is going to believe you. You could posssible find and make a copy of the law that states that but I'm sure it's not worth it for $1 off.
