| CVS Virgin...planning a trip
Hey girls! We bought a paper today and I was looking through the CVS ad and I'm trying to figure out if there are some good deals there that I could take part in. I don't have a whole lot of coupons yet, but I'm just wondering if anyone has any tips? I'm just starting out so even if they are things I could give to my family to use (that my husband and I ourselves wouldn't necessarily use), just so I can sorta get the hang of this whole CVS thing. I've been in CVS before (only to pick up scripts) so I know we don't have a giant one, but I'm hoping I can find some of these deals. Any suggestions? With the whole Extra Bucks and stuff it just seems a little intimadating to me. Liv'sMom

1. Do you have an extra care card yet? If not, get one from the cashier. It is a savings card and absolutely necessary at CVS. 2. Does your store have a price check scanner? If so, scan your card at it. If it has paper, coupons will print. Scan it again until it says no more coupons are available. 3. There are 2 ads. 1 is the weekly ad, and 1 is the monthly ad. Both should be found at the front of the store. 4. This week I would get children's advil (monthly special, free after ECBs, plus there is a printable in the list of printable coupons on here) - the limit is 2. 5. Get the kotex liners - free after ECBs, plus there is a $1 coupon printable. 6. The ECBs you earn are like cash, except you don't get change back so you need to use the whole thing. What other questions do you have? |

2. I have no idea if the store has a price check scanner... are they usually located in a certain spot in the store or just random places? 3. Thanks for the tip on the ads in the store, I'll definately check there! 4. Thanks for the head's up! I'll definately check it out. 5-6. I think I have a $1 off coupon for Kotex...are the ones that print in the store manufac. coupons or store ones? Sorry, that's probably a stupid question. So how does it work if it's free after ECB but you have a $1 coupon? Do I already need to have ECB on my card or does that mean the ECB that are listed with that purchase will be added to my card, or is the ECB subtracted from the purchase right away? I'm really sorry...I hope these questions are making sense. I really don't know anything about the ECB other than the fact that they have them! I definately appreciate all your help! You are a lifesaver!!!! Liv'sMom

When the ad says "free after extra care bucks" it means you pay for the item, say 5.99, and then at the bottom of your receipt it prints out an extra care buck worth 5.99.

Also register your card online. you should then receive an e=mail for $4 off a $20 purchase. The stores I go to have a scanner toward the back on the center aisle. Yep - you pay the price of the item, and that amount appears as an ECB (like a coupon) on the bottom of your receipt. If you use a $1 off coupon it's what we consider a "moneymaker" Any other questions? |

u can register ur card on-line..just need the number on it..go to cvs.com scanners r usually located in the front of the store when u walk in..just scan ur card and see what prints ecbs print on ur receipt to be used with later transactions..can even use them right away(just do multiple transactions)..so u buy advil..u pay 5.99..u get 5.99 ecb..next deal u can give them that ecb to take 5.99 off ur total..like money...but no refund of difference so make sure u owe at least 5.99, ok?! | Ok...so then the ECB is something I can use with a different purchase? Like say I pay $6 for something later, I can use the $5.99 ECB that printed to pay for it?

exactly. You can use it right away in the next transaction if you want to. They expire 30 days after you get them - just don't lose them! I keep mine in a spot in my wallet.

| Yep! And make sure you spend at least that much, because if not you will lose the difference.
