| Email from Corp to my brother
My brother sent an email yesterday regarding the treatment he received at the FL in Aberdeen, NC. The "manager" (still not sure if he was really the manager or brand new or what because he wasn't sure how to ring things up) was extremely rude to him. My brother was doing 1 transaction and had over $20.00 worth of stuff. They would not let him use the Gerber coupon or the accessory coupon because they said the items would be free. The manager went around and around with him, was rude to him with customers piling up behind him, then finally pushed it through but told him he could never use those again or any others from the computer; he stated they do not take computer generated coupons anymore. So brother emails customer service, asking about using the coupons and his embarrassment over the treatment he received. This is the email he got back: Dear Mr. XXXX: Thank you for your recent email. We sincerely appreciate you contacting us. Our company will gladly accept manufacturer and store coupons, provided they scan in our register system. We will however, decline the use of single-sided coupons offering a free product, a coupon that has a higher dollar amount than the value of the product, a competitors' coupon, or if the coupon appears to be computer generated, copied, or reproduced. Unfortunately, we will only accept one coupon per item. I hope you find this information beneficial and do apologize for any inconvenience. Please feel free to speak to the store manager with any concerns you have. Again, Mr. XXXXX, thank you for taking the time to contact us. i had the same problem at a fl in concord, nc on tuesday, finally the dist manager put everything through, as he was at the store for other business.....

My FlLdoes accept q's that are for more than what the price is and the manager said so. They also accept FLIPs with a manu q. What does it mean when he says they dont accept free q's without anything on the back? Like the Land O Frost ones for the free lunchmeat?

I wonder if they meant fraudulent computer generated coupons,. like the kind that people make themselves. & yes I think that the land of lakes q technically would not be accepted. But my store took it no problems. I really don't think that they would notice as long as they scan.

I think it depends on who you talk to about computer coupons or IPs. My store tells me if the coupon doesn't scan they will not take it, even if it is a coupon from them or a MQ . I have talked with two diffrent CS people and I have gotten two diffrent answers on coupons. This really depends on your store and manager.

working for food lion, as a csm, i agree. it depends on the store and the person. i know how to take q's from the internet that dont scan and that would be using the last 5 digits on the barcode, and thats for all coupons usually. they should not be rude though, and they are the ones that put out free stuff. keep calling corporate with problems..
