I was shocked to see a $.05 refund on my store receipt because I had brought 1 bag of my own. Do all Krogers do this? I had 1 big bag (enough for 23 HBA and cleaning items!) and got the refund. I wonder if it's .05/bag or .05/transaction. Either way, a nice surprise. I'll take what I can get!

Was it one of the Kroger bags? They told me they only gave the credit if you use one of their bags. Theirs are to small.

Mine does 5 cent per bag; and no it doesn't have to be their bags.

My Kroger does five cents per bag. I've been doing this for 2 years now. I actually just used some scrap fabric to make bags (double stitching of course so there aren't any bags breaking) and save about 20 bucks a year. It does add up! And to boot, you are helping save the earth by not using plastic bags. I use them everywhere, but Kroger is the only one who gives me money back for using them.

Kroger - Dillons.

I've cleaned up w/ the Mega sale going on. Too bad there's not one closer to me. Do you get their ads in any of your papers?

And Angie--they double $.55 and up coupons up to $1. Example--a $.55 q on your receipt would show the following:

-0.55
-0.45
