Does anyone have Food Lion coupon Policy?

I was at FL yesterday and was trying to use my last 4 Land of Frost coupons before they expire. For some reasn they won't scan so the assitant manager was called over. After giving me a hard time about my FLIPs for gerber (she said I couldn't use both cause they were both for gerber I had to explain that one was for food and the other was for an assesory and I bought both so she let it go through). She tells me since the coupon says one per purchase I could only use one coupon.

I thought that one per purchase meant I could use one coupon per each item I purchased. I tried to explain this to her and tell her that it didn't say one perr transaction but she didn't want to hear it and said I promise you this is the policy.

So is she right? I have used one then one coupon in the past that said one per purchase. I don't want to do anything wrong but I just think she is wrong.

Don't get me wrong I am not complaining that I couldn't get 4 packages of free meat I am happy with my 1 package but I am just wondering for the future what is the right way.

Here is what I was told when I called corp. FL accepts all mfr q's, including internet printables that scan. If they do not scan, they may choose whether or not to accept them. They also accept the FLIPS, but only one of the same FLIP per transaction(it's up to them if they will do more in other transactions). Policy also states that you may use both a store and a mfr q together, but I have had several mgrs refute this. I was told by corp to have the mgr call them if any of this is a problem. HTH

Oh really they have to take store and man? This same lady gave me a hard time a few weeks ago when I was buying dig. pizza. Everyting scanned fine man. and store for that plus some gerber one and at the end the cashier was having problems with one coupons when this assitant manager came over she made her cancel my whole order and take only one coupon per item (either man. or store)...

Do they have there policy in writing?

Ok so technically she didn't have to accept my other three coupons because they didn't scan?

My only issue with this is that there scanners are really bad and I have many coupons not scan and they have to key them in...the late problem was with the Kraft free from the parade. I bought like 7 or more Kraft things and only was trying one coupon and it took them about 20 minutes to push it thru. So just because it won't scan doesn't mean it is not correct.

When I called corp, they said to have them call if they refuse a store and a mfr q together. Unfortunately she did say that they do not have a policy in writing, so nothing to carry with you. And yes, if they don't scan they don't have to take them. I have asked that they clean their scanners in the past as this does seem to help quite a bit. My FL has no problem keying in q's that don't scan, but others do and unfortunately they are allowed this, regardless of the type of q that won't scan.

hmmmm thanks for the info. I think I might call corp. so I can go in there and say when I called corp and not be lying. ...

I think what I really don't like is this lady has said to me "I promise you this is the way it is" and she says it with an aditude. And she has done this twice now. I think I will stop in today and talk to the manager and get this straight (maybe he will let me use my free meat even though it expired yesterday)...

On a side night I went to a different FL the other day and had an awesome cashier and assitant store manager. Saver $96 in coupons...

Update

I went to MY Food Lion (the one closest to me that I do my major shopping with) and talked with the manager. e informed me that I was allowed to use one store coupon and one man. per item and also that if it said one per purchase I could buy 10 and use 10 coupons. He couldn't believe that the other store had told me otherwise and said he would get to the bottom of it and let me know next time I was in. He said my coupons were always welcome at his store...So I will shop there from now on.
