So this morning,I did the 3 packages and get a five dollar catalina.She kept my coupons oop was four dollars something.so I went back this afternoon and there was a pile of the pharmacy books laying around.So I took them ,knowing that they would keep my coupons.I got another nine packages for a total of five dollars and 46 cents (i think)I had to do three transactions,alternating between the RR and cash.I am happy,it worked out at just over 50 cents a package for that trip.
Did I do it right?
Anyone want a pharmacy book?

I REALLY need a pharmacy book! I sent one to someone on here thinking I still had mine. I grabbed it the other day to get ready for the double dip and the cashier I went through last must have tore it out!!!! Now what!!!!!???Nice of you to offer!! I wish I had grabbed more as they had them sitting on the cosmetics counter (the whole bundle) and now they claim they are out.

I told the lady that I heard if you asked about there prescription program that they had a book of coupons, the lady just handed it to me it was busy but you might have to listen to there speech.

I asked for the coupon book tonight and was told that I didn't have a medicaid card, so I couldn't have a book!

The lady just looked at me, must have seen my wedding ring and made an assumption. Needless to say I'll be making a phone call in the morning, because she was SO RUDE!

They are not really a book,just a red pamphlet.
I think by my pm's and the two requests above that they are all spoken for but I will let you all know if I have more

In the July ES book there's an ad for their prescription rebate program. (Toward the back, title: Do you have diabetes and no prescription insurance?) I went to the pharmacy counter with the ES page turned to it, pointed to it so they'd understand what I was talking about, and asked some questions about using the program with my insurance, etc. (didn't figure it'd be cheaper, but thought they'd be more willing to give the coupons to me if I seemed sincere.) After the pharmacy clerk answered my questions, I asked if I could get the coupon book, again pointing to the part of the page on the ES book where it says, "Visit the pharmacy to see how much you can save and get $50 in coupons, just for asking!" She was very nice about it, found the coupon book no problem, even gave my kids little coloring books!
Not quite so lucky at 2nd Walgreen's...took forever to find the coupon pamphlet, then it ended up being an expired version w/no diaper coupon. I'm going to go to the 1st Walgreen's to see if they'll trade me the expired version for the new version.

I also got one of those expired versions, funny thing is I had already used the Q several times before I noticed that it was expired...it must be the same UPC code as the current one, I did take it back in for an unexpired one though!

I asked about the program today, got the three minute advertisement for it, and then was told I couldn't have the coupon book unless I signed up. & Unfortunately, my Wal didn't have the sign up. Ugh. I'll go back tomorrow with the July ES book showing the "Just for asking" advertisement. Thanks for the info!

Still a pretty good deal even without the Q, IMO.
