CVS skincare coupons. Let's use them on CVS skincare items.

I did not want to highjack the other thread.

I'm not attacking anyone in particular, and what you do is your business. We can still be friends and all. I love AFC members.

Just a friendly suggestion... Let's use coupons for what they say we can use them on.

By encouraging that, I think we can be good example for newbies.
When I was a newbie, I was very ignorant about how to use coupons...

Plus, None of us want CVS to hate us couponers and turn into coupon polices, right?

I've been on a mini-CVS hiatus. What are they not allowed to be used on? (All I've done is CVS body wash and the towelettes so far).

I would imagine if they cleans, pamper, hydrate, or protect the skin itself, then it's a skin care item.
I wouldn't think deoderant, shampoo, or dental items would fall under this category. Yes, deoderant and shampoo touch the skin, but aren't specifically for the skin.

Personally, I think what we consider as "skin care" differs from one person from other, and I think we should use them on what we each consider "skin care."

Of course cashier might agree or disagree with you.

I agree that we each have our own opinion. I would consider deodorant skincare but not shampoo, dental, or baby wipes.

That's funny, because I think of baby wipes as skincare. Of course, I use them to wash my face. I've only used the coupon on qtips and cotton rounds, though.

This is a toughie because skin care has so many meanings! They were so broad with this coupon that a lot of things could be argued as skin care. I consider baby wipes skin care! Some others may not. I would think that if CVS did not want it used on a baby wipe or detangler that the system would be alerted by a beep!

Just go to the CVS website and click on skincare (or baby tab for baby stuff) and you will see all the things they consider as skincare. Papertowels, deoderant, and tissue do not make the list. HTH This is from CVS's website on the skincare tab.

BATH: Bar Soap, Body Wash & Scrubs Brushes & Sponges, Bubble Bath & Salts Oils & Sprays Powders

For Children: Hand Soap & Sanitizers

Eye Creams: Dark Circles, Puffiness, Wrinkles

Facial Cleansers: Acne, Anti-Aging, Bars, Creams & Lotions, Foaming, Gels, Makeup Removers, Masks & Strips

Facial Moisturizers: Anti-Aging, Creams For Night, Lotions & Serums, SPF, Tinted

For Men: Bodywash & Scrubs, Cologne & Aftershave, Facial Cleansers, Facial Moisturizers, Shaving & Hair Removal

Hand & Body Lotions: Anti-Cellulite, Body Lotions & Creams,Firming, Hand & Foot Creams Massage Oils & Lotions

Scar & Fade: Therapy Fade Treatments, Scar Treatments

Sun Care & Outdoor After Sun: For Children, Insect Repellent, Lip Balm, Poison Ivy & Itch, Sunless Tanning, Sunscreen, Tanning Supplements

Supplements: Anti-Aging, Hair, Nail, Skin Tanning

Under the Baby tab it has this for Baby skincare:

BABY: Bath & Skin Care, Baby Oil ,Bath & Wash,Bath Accessories, Cotton Swabs, Creams & Ointments, Hair Care, Lotions,Powders, Sunscreen

So, if you use it on any of these items it would be legitimate. I was kind of shocked to see that there was so many items it could be used on like Shaving & Hair Removal-so shaving cream and it has razors on this site also and lipbalm was another surprise.

I would not have thought that cotton swabs were skincare. I was going to use them on some to do the baby thing, but then I decided not to buy get anything that I felt like I may have to explain why they are skincare.

Yelp there on the Baby skincare list. So if you get them that's legit. Oh and the baby haircare-the detangling stuff would be too like someone mentioned in another post. Happy Shopping!!

Great list, however I didn't see the cotton balls which are pictured on the actual coupon. Just noting the fact that there are items that may not be on the list that CVS does consider skincare (otherwise it wouldn't be pictured on the q). But thanks for the list...there are things I can use it for that I didn't know about!

Wouldn't that be considered a baby bathcare item. I used to use them to wipe off sensitive areas of my kids when they were babies..like navel and nose, and I always put destin (sp?) on my son with a cottonball. Or they would fall under makeup remover-like for your eyes. Qtips are on there.
