The baby ear ones don't really work too well at first. When they are baby babies you should use the butt one!!! =) I think they say once they are 6 months you can use the ear and underarm ones!! I'd talk to your doctor about it just to make sure!

We use vaseline instead of diaper creams, unless there's a bad rash from teething.

Btw, since you mentioned ear thermometer's, late one sunday night, my daughter had a 105 fever according to our ear thermometer, and when we called the dr.'s office, they said that those could read very high and we needed to take her temp with something else before they could tell us know what to do. So, we had to drive into town (we live 15 minutes out) so I could go to Walmart and get one that could under her arm. Her temp was 101. So, you might want to make sure you have another kind for back up!!

We use it on our foosball table...to help the lubrication when the "thingies" don't want to turn easily...my husband slathers vaseline on it, like grease in an engine, but without the mess.

Get a temporal thermometer. They have dropped in price. You can find one for about $30 or a little less. These are the ones you use on their forehead. When our baby was first born, we had about 3 different types of thermometers and they all read differently. I was so thrilled when the temporal ones became affordable. There is a Vicks one too, I think there is a coupon for any Vick's product.

KY is water based, it's different from Vaseline

It looks like the one that worked for you is the same one that didn't work for a couple of us. I'm guessing that the ECB for the vaseline is regional - some of the ECBs on CVS items are. But we aren't complaining. Free after coupon is still free!

I just bought the same as the OP and did not get any ECBs. I had the $2 off coupon so it was free and DH uses this stuff like water so it's still all good.

I brought the above listed Pertroleum Jelly at the Fridley CVS and did not receive out any ECB's. I did get to use the 2.00 off coupon so it was free!

This may be to much TMI, but I am a long distance walker and I put it where the elastic of my shorts touches my skin. After walking 15 miles, the cloths leave a mark and the jelly keeps your skin from hurting.

I heard runners do the same thing.

I got nothing. Needless to say, I'm returning it tomorrow. Must be a YMMV/local deal or something....but I did get my July ECBs for the Spring Spending....so all is not lost!

i'm curious, what does it say on your ecb? does it say "here are your extra bucks for having purchased cvs petroleum jelly" ?

Just checked and that is the one I got and NO ECB.
