Okay...so my CVS had LOTS of candy on clearance... 90% OFF

Jelly Belly Jellybeans inparticular. So I grab 6 bags at .50 each and I look for expiration date. All good.

Well, I didn't realize until I got home that one bag is TROPICAL flavors and it says: BEST IF USED BY: OCTOBER 19, 2007 !!!!!!!!!

WHAT would you do???? I do plan to mention it when I go back. That is a bit excessive as far as I am concerned. I'm very disappointed. I've gotten expired stuff at least once before but I noticed it waaaaay too late.

I've found expired stuff too. It was one time when the Nabisco calorie packs were giving ecb's. There was atleast 3 boxes on the shelf expired and the other 3 were only good another week or 2. This was a store I rarely shop at, so I found the manager and I told her, you'd think she'd apologize to me, but no she acted like I was making her work!!!!

You really have to watch their expiration dates at CVS, I have even gotten Liquid Tylenol expired. 2007, I would go back

take it back, and write the company, all they have to do is let the vendor know and they charge it back it is an easy fix for them to rotate their stock they must be lazy.......

Take it back. A while ago Wags was giving RR on Oreos and mine were 2+ months expired.

Take them back to the store and ask for an exchange. Also, notify the company that CVS has their expired product on the shelves. They may be able to send a sales rep there for frequently to ensure that their product is rotated. No company wants their expired product sitting on the shelf.

food lion ice cream that is on sale and people are getting cheap i bought 4 within the last week and all of them were out of date last summer!

I'd take it back & speak to the manager - I'd ask him if he heard that the New York State Attorney General was going after CVS for expired products...

I purchased a Goldbond from Walgreen November last year, and it was on clearance. I didn't bother to look at the expiry date until at home, the expiry date was May 2005. (Expired 2 years), how can you sell expired 2 years items to the customer? I was so lazy, and I didn't return it, I think at least those are not food items.
