Can I share with you guys? I just started researching couponing 2 days ago and while I am completely overwhelmed, I am also really excited!! I have to admit that in the past I NEVER used coupons. I even threw away the free on your next purchase coupons from the register.

Anyway, I printed out tons of coupons yesterday and went through the CVS ads. Here is what I bought and what I paid.

3 Tres Semme conditioner $3.33 (I know this is not a greta deal but we were completely out of conditioner and this is the cheapest I have seen this stuff)

1 Aussie Shampoo $2.99

1 Colgate advanced $2.99

2 CVS brand pull-ups jumbo pack clearance $3.50 each (normally $13.99)

1 Listerine Smart Rinse $3.49

2 CVS bandages $1.99

$30.44

Coupons Used
Colgate $1
Listerine $1.50
Aussie $1.00
ECB $3.00

$24.44

Then I got $11.50 ECBs for Aussie, Colgate, Bandages, Listerine and $3 off next purchase

AND>>>> They were out of quite a few things I wanted to take advantage off for ECBs so I have rainchecks for:
(2) Listerine Smart Rinse FREE
(2) Oral B twin pack FREE
(5) Colgate Freshmax toothpaste .99

So that is another $21 in free stuff and $12.45 discount on the toothpaste (I have coupons to add to that too though so it will probably be free)!!!!

Then I went to Kroger and "bought" 6 Buddies bar soaps and 2 Glade plug-ins for all of .09!!!

I was really happy with that one.

I don't think you will get ECB's for things on raincheck, but I could be wrong.
I think you will only get the sale price

Sorry, I should have explained better. The manager was really good and wrote the raincheck for FREE so it will be like getting the ECBs.

Awesome job! I started to use coupons and ECB in Sep last year. Now, I'm like a pro. Some of the cashiers even compliment how well I did. Some of them even give me coupons when I checked out. Couple of my flav cashiers will even tell me which deal will work, which won't. Keep up the good work, and let us know next time how you did.

One more thing. When I went to get water this morning for a track meet I saw Colgate 360 toothbrushes marked $3.99 with $3.99 ECB so I bought the limit of 5. The rang up $4.49 each and I was not about to pay that for a toothbrush so the guy went back to check and came up to tell me that it was in a display box that actually expired (I missed that part) but since it was still there he would give them to me!! Anoither $23.80 saved.

Awesome job! That was really nice of them to write the rain check out to reflect FREE. That is such a lovely word! Good job with the 360's. If i remember correctly, if they have a sign up for a specific price, by law, that is the price you pay as it is advertised. Glad to hear he just went ahead and did the right thing and not make it a big hassle for you! Keep up the great work!
