Possible $maker? - Gold Bond next week I have heard that the current $1 IP for Gold Bond healing works on the trial size at CVS. (Can anyone confirm? I'm pretty sure it's the same product, but haven't looked myself.) Do you think you can buy 15 of these for $1 each, use the IP for each one and get the $5 ecb? Edited to add - Ad describes 4 or 5 products and sizes, but then says "buy $15 of any Gold Bond product". Last edited by sar1; 06-26-2008 at 04:16 PM. Reason: clarification

I know that the gold bond at my cvs is .99 so they would have to adjust the price and you would have to get 16 of them in order to get the deal. I know that they 1.00 coupon that came in the paper for gold bond worked on the foot powder and I stocked up. I was going to try it today but realized that I did not have the coupon with me.

I love this lotion, so I will be stocking up. There are $2/1 on any size mfg Q's floating around out there (ex. 10/31/08). I think they came in the week before's paper.

there are more gold bond q's coming out this weekend. be careful - some gold bond q's have been known to say "excludes trial size" in the fine fine print.

UPDATE - the trial size gold bond creams don't work towards the ecb deal. But the IP's definitely don't have a size restriction and scanned w/no problem at all, so free lotion anyway. The cashier hesitated and I kind of acted dumb and said "I'm never sure with these printable coupons, but I did check that there's no restriction on size. I saw the one in the newspaper this week does say no trial size, but this one doesn't."

Mien say "on ANY Size" in the big print, but if you read the fine print where it tells the retailer where to send the coupon it says in capital letters "EXCLUDES 1 OZ TRIAL SIZE".... so annoying that it contradicts itself and is written in size 5 font |

The Gold Bond coupon that I got in Sunday's paper says excludes trial size. I saw the Gold Bond lotion in the trial size section and was very excited but, I saw where my coupon says excludes trial size! The night manager at the one store I went to tonight said that they can no longer reduce a coupon down. I tried to get the trial size Tylenol with the $1.00 off printable coupon and he said if they accepted it and adjusted it down, and then sent in the coupon for the refund, they could get charged with FRAUD! I understood what he meant about it being considered fraud but, I asked him if he could adjust it down and the write on the coupon that I used it for .99 cents and he said good thinking but that we couldnt!! <--- I tried!! ha! He was very nice so I did not mind and plus my other two CVS stores have not mentioned this yet!! Just wanted to throw that out there!!!

No it doen't work, this time the fine print is where you find the except trial sizes WAY down in the middle of the print. It is this way on several items this week on Q's that say any...I think they are catching on?

I can see where the insert ones exclude the trial size. I've read every area of the IP ones I have and don't see any size restriction at all. One of the cvs's I go to has been completely out of the trial sizes for some time now, so I'm not the first to catch on here. I wonder if this is why the new insert coupons are different than the ones that came out just a few weeks ago. I mentioned this to a friend in marketing recently asking how they could miss a detail like putting a size restriction on it and he said it could have been an oversight, but there's also a good chance it's been done that way intentionally. Get people to buy the "free" trial size then maybe they'll buy the full size when another coupon comes out. Especially on an item that is pricey even w/a coupon. It's tough to bring new customers to something like that.
