Possible Money Maker - Oral B CrossAction

Ok, I know I said I wouldn't be on... but I had to check on my auction and, even ill, I think about CVS! So, I thought I would check to see if anyone else has thought about this deal or not.

The Oral B CrossAction Power is 5.99 w/ 3 ECB this week *limit 5*. According to Taylortown Preview, there will be a BOGO coupon this Sunday for that toothbrush. So, I was thinking of this:

(4) CrossAction Brushes - $23.96

Use:

$4/20 email
2 x BOGO (-11.98)

You will end up paying 7.98 + tax (use ECB) and get back 12 ECB Right?

OOOOORRRR - Use the BOGO Stages Toothbrush that was in the June PG Brandsaver if you have a little one... they are the same deal this week. HTH! and...hope it works!

I did it too. Had to stop right after church before they were sold out. I had a 5 off 30 email q from Thursday so bought 6 at 5.99 ea, used three BOGO Q and some ECB and only paid tax at 1.26, plus 15ECB. Yeah! Although, the CVS I was at had only 7 so that only left 1 for someone else. I only felt a little bad cause I was so excited to be walking out of the store with so low an out of pocket. Yeah! Yeah!

The BOGO Stages Toothbrush coupon from the June PG Brandsaver states:

"Buy any ONE (1) Stages manual brush, Get 1 FREE"

so it's not meant for use on the power brush.

At CVS, when you use the B1G1 coupon, you get an ECB for both toothbrushes. So in this case you get $6 ECB (unlike Walgreens which only gives you a $5.50 RR for a single toothbrush per transaction regardless of the fact that you bought multiple toothbrushes) which you can then use for anything in the store and isn't restricted to use as a "manufacturer's coupon" as a RR is at Walgreens. You can also turn around and use an earned ECB to purchase another toothbrush which isn't the case with Walgreen Register Rewards.

And, to further sweeten the deal at CVS, you can use your $ off $$ CVS coupons to further make $$ on the deal. All in all, if you have both CVS and Walgreens in your area, you'd be better off with the deal at CVS.

My thinking was that I get the brush at CVS and then get the refills at Walgreens.

Yes, look at the example in the OP of this thread. She has a CVS $4 off of $20 coupon (perhaps from updating e-mail account at cvs.com?) along with her 2 B1G1 free manufacturer coupons so her out of pocket expense is about $8 but she'll earn $12 in ECBs. In other words, she'll take home 4 toothbrushes and get paid $4 to do so. Gotta love these deals.

Thanks, I didn't see this one in the CVS flier... this is a much better deal than Walgreen's. But the refills sound like it will be good for a Walgreen's deal.

The refills at my CVS also had the buy for $5.99, get $3 ECB sign, but the ad does not mention the refills. I haven't done the deal yet, but was wondering if anyone had noticed that, and if anyone could confirm that they work. TIA!!
