Question about Visa Reloadable Cards

So I am still new to all this CVS craziness which I LOVE!!! I have been eyeing the VISA reloadable cards because I think it would be a great way to budget my gas expenses seeing as I spend about 100 a week on gas!! I can just go ahead and take that chunk of 200 (for two weeks) out of my paycheck and put it on this card so that way I know I will atleast get my gas covered until next payday even if the checking acct gets low...my question is have any of yall used the reloadables and what are yalls thoughts on them? I was also wondering if yall knew how you reloaded them? Like can you put money on them at stores or what? I am asking about this now because I saw in the next weeks ad that after your first purchase on the card, VISA will credit back to you the 9.95 one time activation fee!!

My other question was...if I have 75.00 worth of CVS giftcards and I buy a few items and then ask for 25.00 to be put on a reloadable card, can I use my giftcard to pay for my whole transaction?? I guess I am asking can I roll my CVS giftcards onto a reloadable VISA kinda like rolling ECBs onto a CVS giftcard??

I would appreciate any advice about all this! Like I said I am still new and am trying to make the most of it!! Thank you in advance!!

I used a reloadable Visa for online purchases around the hoildays. I personally wouldnt recommend then for all the time use. You get the "set up fee" the monthly fee for having it and the fee everytime you load it. to me thats all $ you could use toward the gas your wanting to use the card for. If you have a Walmart that sells gas I would just buy walmart gift cards then you get .03 every gallon and no fees. Thats what I use now for gas
As far as rolling you CVS gift cards to the Visa I am not sure.
