Has anyone heard of this? Plus a couple of ???

THe cashier told me tonight that they get credited for how much they ring up. So he was thrilled when I had a large purchase. Even though I wanted to do several transactions. He even encouraged me to shop some more since I got a long list of ecb's on my last transaction. So if this is true, I dont understand why some cashiers are so difficult about couponers. Has anyone else heard of this? Can a CVS employee verify and clarify this?

2nd thing: I bought 3 Smart Rinse and it still doesnt say Offer Limit reached. Is this because it is a weekly deal too? So the monthly is suppose to be 3 even though it says it is 2, the weekly deal was limit 2, so is the total amount we can buy 5? If that is the case, then I would need to get a raincheck for the toothbrushes since it is a weekly deal (and out) and a monthly deal? Anyone who has already bought some, does your receipt show offer limit reached?

3rd: I got home and my Lumene moisturizer is missing. I was charged for it but not in any of the bags. I even looked in my truck. This was the transaction where we had to move to another register, but it was rung up on the new register. The store is already closed. I wonder if they will find it by the register somewhere.

I have no idea about your first question.

smart rinse is working at a 4 limit
toothbrushes is a monthly deal. 4 limit

I would call back the store about the lumene. They'll probably find it behind the ounter. Never had this happen at CVS, but at Target the customer service were really nice about it.

Thanks, the monthly book says the toothbrushes are limit 2. Is it 4 because of a typo or because it is a monthly and a weekly deal?

I know when I was working in a clothing store, they had little charts showing us our sales stats (average amount per transaction, average number of items purchased, and a few other things). It may be that although he doesn't get paid for them he at least gets recognized for selling many items at once (and having a high average). The company may interpret that as the cashier making sales suggestions and pushing purchases more. The only thing that confuses me though would be that even if the amount of items in the transaction is high, the dollar amount would still be low (but then again, you never know how someone is going to interpret those pie charts and stats).

UPT's (units per transaction) are often more important to a company than ADS (ave $ sale) is, and I am sure they track these at CVS for the mgmt, but CVS isn't real retail in the sense that the cashier is not "selling" you the products, just cashiering them, so it shouldn't matter to a cashier if we use coupons or not. I've had some that act like we are taking the money out of thier own pockets, drives me nuts.

Not sure why, but I usually try to get these things before the end of the week since I've observed fixes occurring Saturday night (this happened with the BeFine deal a few months ago). I haven't found my 4th toothbrush, my stores are out of them!

It's been several years since I worked at CVS, but my store never had anything like that. Crummy hourly wages only...

He said something about each quarter that they got something for their sales. I need to go there today anyway, I can ask. Too bad the truck has already been there and their shelves are so empty. Maybe they have stuff in the back they havent unpacked yet.
