| it's good for us that other people pay full price. If everyone shopped like us the profits would be down. |

You are SO RIGHT! I go to CVS about 5 times a week, one store I go to about 3 of the 5 times. I almost always have the same cashier. She is a mom of 7 kids, and so she wanted to shop the way I do. She started writing down what I was buying and which coupons I used, so she can do the same thing! There is a grocery store right across the street, and there is always some sort of soda/pop on sale. She told me she can't believe how many people come in, buy things that aren't on sale, and pay full price for 12 packs *$4.79*, walk out spending $80 and leave their ECB's on the counter because they don't understand what they're for! I've heard her tell people to make sure they use them because it's free money, so at least she's trying to help out those to don't seem to care! I don't want to offend anyone, but where I live you can definitely see pride as an issue when you're out shopping! When I shop in the ritzy areas, which I LOVE to, you NEVER see anyone try to save money! They drive off in their BMW's, go to their $500,000 houses, and not think twice of how much money they spend. You can almost tell who lives in the rich areas, just by looking at their face. If they look above your head, it's a tell tell sign! LOL If they look at you, and maybe eve crack a smile, you know they're part of the real world! I live in an area where the average house is about $130,000. A 1/2 mile from here, the average price is between $550K and $750K. |

If I paid full price for anything my budget would be in serious trouble. Would be nice to live rich, just for a little while though and see what it's like not to worry about money. |

| I agree with those of you who said pride. I used to be a nanny for a family. He was a surgeon and she was a stay at home mom. She learned to hand me the CRT's when she got home from grocery shopping b/c she didn't want to see me digging through the trash. She didn't even save the BTFE for the kids school, she said she would rather just write them a check. Needless to say, I got tons of free stuff from them when I worked there. I loved that job and loved the kids, but that family really had more money than they knew what to do with. |

| i was one of those people a few months ago. in december, CVS had a bunch of ECB deals. i didn't understand what it meant. It had the sign - $3.99 get $3 ECB like paying $.99. So I thought I would be paying $.99 for example. I bought a ton of stuff. Total was about $85! My receipt was like 2 feet long though. I didn't use ONE of those ECBs. I had no idea what they were. ![]() |

| I was in line yesterday behind a couple who were doing their regular grocery shopping at CVS, they had canned tuna and canned meats, those Asian noodles, frozen pizzas, bread, milk, mayo, Coke etc. I thought for SURE they had a whole wad of ECB's they were going to pay with......NOPE, over $100.00 cash money. I almost fainted. When I got up to the cashier we chatted about it and she said they come in all the time and shop like that, it just makes you wonder. Oh and I saw them getting into their car in the parking lot, certainly not wealthy by any means. |

| as awful as it is to see people pay that much for stuff at CVS, keep in mind that they are the reason we are able to shop there so cheap. there is no way that the EC program would continue if everyone took advantage of it to its fullest. lots of people probably buy something and factor in the 'after ECB' price'...but never bother to use the ECB's. so, yes, it's sad to see so much money get wasted. but there's no way they could stay in business catering to just customers like us. |

| I am not a prideful person when it comes to saving my family money!! My husband didn't want to ask to pharmacy tech to price match his prescription, so I had to lean over him (we were in the car) & ask the man to price match for us! The way I look at it, now that I get to stay at home with our 3 year old, part of my job is to save my family money! |
