On a local board that I belong to, there's a debate going on on "which is cheaper - rite aid, duane reade or CVS?" and everyone is responding that they don't shop at any of the above because they are so much more expensive than grocery store and Target for shampoo, etc.!!! I want to hijack the thread and direct them to AFC if this continues!

I think people actually have to do it themselves to understand, just too hard to comprehend. I used to think the same thing, now I wish CVS sold MORE things! However "expensive" they are, ha, with the help of my friends on here, we can always figure out a way to get them for free, or almost free!

Lol, it's true. I've tried explaining it to a few people and they were confused by the idea. They are glad I've found so many great things but still haven't actually tried it themselves. It does take some thinking power sometimes though and a lot of people would rather spend money than think, .

I have told so many people about it, and they all say, it takes to much time to get all the coupons and things together. I don't spend more then 30 min a week. Thanks to people here they work all the deals out for me and I just follow them. Thank you to all who work the deals and figure everything out.

We don't have a CVS here, but I used to feel the exact same way about Walgreens. I never even looked at the ads because I thought they were more expensive and inconvenient for me to run to. Now I can't believe the last 3 weeks how much money I've saved there!

My friend from high school told me the same thing yesterday. I got all excited and told her all about AFC but I think she was still lost! Oh well, you can't save them all.

Those poor people...you should bring them over to the cheap side!

My BFF has commented on, giggled at, enjoyed some of the benefits of my couponing. But didn't 'get' it for the LONGEST time.

Last week she called me and said she wanted to coupon. We went to ACME, CVS and Genaurdis she spent about $30 and save around $150. Purchases ranged from Choclate Milk to toliet paper.

Now she is chomping at the bit for each new deal, and has done quite a few CVS deals on her own.

I say hijack the thread and tell them to come here.

Offer to bring one of them shopping with you to CVS. Teach them the ropes, then have them post again. I'm sure they will be singing a different tune!

Just like when I was telling my sister about the Adidis deod, She said, what? come on, you can get deod for a dollar at the dollar tree. I said yea, the price on the shelf might have said $4.99, but I had a coupon to get it for free and I also got $4.99 ECB's to take it out of the store." I don't remember what else I got that day, but I didn't pay much! Probably less that a dollar for a bag or two.

I know what you mean.. I do not think ppl really get it neither when I tell them I spend about 15 cents and get $25, $35, $50 worth of marchandice or something over $100 or more.
They just look puzzled and say "ah-hah." like "I did not understand what just came out from your mouth, but okay."
