When I was at CVS today my favorite check out lady told me that they were having a BIG sale on June 1st. Everything was gonna be on sale.

Has any one else heard about this at their stores?

I wonder if that's when they start marking down the next round of clearance?

Maybe he was talking about the new monthly free items since it is June 1. When I went into my CVS today, my wonderful manager saw me and went and got a June monthly book from the back for me. He also pointed out all the free items starting on the 1st of June. Guess he knows me too well, he always points out the free after ecb items for me.

Sometimes CVS has had all their CVS brand items 1/2 ,the whole store CVS brand.

Has anybody approached a manager and asked,"When do you turn on the new months ECBs?" or "When do you turn on next weeks sale?". I am trying to build the courage to ask tonight.

My store has a ton of their makeup 50-75% off now... is that part of those store wide sales then?

My stores have a bunch of stuff in the lotion aisle 50% off.

Are you considered in the Ohio Valley area? My manager said our area is a test market and they are having a huge sale the 1st week of June. Maybe that is what this is about?

I'm in Pittsburgh, not quite the Ohio Valley area, but close by.

I just did this past Saturday. I was told by the manager (I called first) that she turns on her sales at 1pm Saturday, but *they don't have too. I was excited, because that way I could make sure I got the grill I wanted while it was in stock. I may start shopping at CVS on Saturday at 2pm regularly for the Sunday sales because by noon on Sunday the stores are usually out.

Yep! If you don't ask, you don't know so go for it :-) Mine turn them on Saturday morning so by mid-morning I go do my deals on things I know will sell out quickly. I love being able to do it on Saturday!

And you can always price check Saturday if you have a scanner. Find something on sale (in the ad for Sunday) and check the scanner and see if they show the sale price.

Ok, I got the sales flier today. We have the Tide for $5.99 and get back 2 ECB. Buy 4 Charmin or Bounty and get $10.00 ECB. BIG1 ALL Cover Girl products. The rest of the big P&G deals aren't in there. The Dawn and Pantene are in there.

for the June monthly deals...the prices were scanning correct but the ECB's weren't printing at my store today. Granted they don't start till tomorrow (WAIT - it's 12:03 am, they start today!) there's nothing i expected them to do about it...but just a heads up
