CVS called me, I owe them money Went to CVS today to do 2 different shopping trips, well the first one I did over 18.00 and I gave them the 3.00 off of 15.00 and my other coupons that I had, then my second order, was 17.00 I gave them the 3.00 off of 15.00 coupons again and of course my other coupons, which everything was o.k. Came home and my hubby took the phone call saying CVS called and I owe them 3.00 because I used the same 3.00 coupon twice.....never had that happen to me before....It was two different orders and two different coupons, so what do you think I should do....or say....I don't think its right...Anyone else have this problem...

does the coupons say limit 1 per customer? If so did you use the same CVS card for each order? If the coupon doesn't say it then they could stick it in my opinion. I wouldn't go pay them just because they called. If you used a different card it shouldn't be a problem. I would tell them the coupon doesn't say I can't use more than one.

You know they won't let me use the 5.00 off of 15.00 then they were letting me use the 3.00 off of 15.00 then this happened to me today.....they are terrible at my CVS....

What! If they didn't stop you in the store, it's their loss. That seems ridiculous. If they want to implement that policy, they'll need to inform cashiers instead of calling customers up after the fact.

I did use the same card, but two different transactions.....its the coupon that everyone has been using 3.00 off of 15.00....since they won't let me use the 5.00 off of 15.00 they said that it was a fraud coupon....

It depends on what the coupon says. I have had one last month in my email that cleary stated one use only. I would call customer service first and tell them that your localCVS is calling your home and asking for $3.00 Back. Have corp tell you what to do they will probably tell you not to worry about it. My question is how did they get your phone number?

allot of CVS are not allowing stacking of CVS q' like 3/15 and 5/15 in same transaction doing this would take off $8 right of the start. there has been people really abusing this. But I don't think they should call you at home, If the cashier did not follow or enforce their store Q policy then thats not your fault

I think it's attached to our cards. Someone correct me if I'm wrong...but I've heard them ask people ahead of me in line before for their phone number if they don't have their card with them.

I totally agree that you should call CS and see what they say. My feeling is the same that a PP said...if they let it happen in the store, it's not really your fault. It's up to them to enforce their policies, not you. Linz

When you complete your request for a ECB card, it is linked to your phone number unless you managed to not give them one. CVS has begun to implement tracking of coupons by linking the coupon used to the individual ECB card. Therefore, if somehow their system "caught" you using the same coupon (two copies of the same #'d coupon) and it is only allowing one use per ECB card (or even per household), then that is probably the reason. However, I would think it would catch the misuse at the time of sale and not later. Perhaps the cashier spoke to the store manager and they compared the 2 coupons and the order and felt you had used it inappropriately. Then I would assume they gave you a "courtesy" call to allow you to make it right and to also let you know that was not the proper usage. If the coupons were entirely different, then that is possibly another story entirely.

call the manager and tell him you will gladly come in and pay the $3 as long as he pays you for the gas it will take you to get there and home. The whole thing is crazy if you ask me. They should have said something in the store.

Oh my goodness! I think they are just trying to bully you really, and I would say if there is a problem with the transaction, it should have been addressed BEFORE you left the store. After they say "have a nice day", it's all over imo. If a manager didn't like how something was handled, he should discuss this with his employees, not you. You are the customer, and customer satisfaction needs to be every manager's main objective. To call your home, and say you owe them $$, is actually saying that you stole something from them, and they would like to be reimbursed. Very, very wrong, esp if THEY accepted the coupon in the first place, ya know? I wouldn't pay them anything, and I would absolutely call corporate over being treated this way. I did hit a snag yesterday over the 5/25 q, but it finally went through. Said my card wasn't qualified for that q. No biggy though, and I only planned on using it once anyway. The cashier was very nice about it. I'm so sorry you're having to deal with all of this.

Thats horrible. I know I used the $3/$15 many times as well as the $5/$15.
