I has exhausted last night- between msing and multiple HT runs. I didn't have the energy to go to cvs to finish the hershey's deal. So I begged my DH. His friend was staying w/us this weekend, so they went.
I gave my DH a GC and told him to spend $3.50 worth of Hershey's candy. Well, 2 hours later they were still gone (it was like midinight) so I gave them a call to see where they went.
My DH goes "I'm never going to do this again. We went to the cvs by our house and they were closed. Went to 4 stores I thought were CVSs and they were Walgreens or Rite aid. Finally we found a CVS and bought some candy and the ecbs didn't print. So I asked the lady and she said it was because I needed to buy $10.00 worth of candy. So she helped me pick it out.

So hubby came home with 5ECBS, 2 bags of reeses, 1 bag of cadbury, 2 bags of kisses, and 4 big hershey's candy bars. Poor thing, I looked at one of the receipts and it said .13 to reach offer. That was when the cashier said he needed to buy the $10 all at once.

He's so sweet, all the extra candy he's taking back today. . I love my DH!

What a nice guy!

That is so sweet. One time when I was sick I sent dh out to get some things and told him about ecb's and coupons. He was all "huh?" Told me that he would go to the store for me, but didn't have time to be fiddling with all those coupons and following my "deals". I cringed at the thought of him paying full price for anything so said nevermind. .

"I'm never going to do this again!" exact same words my DH told me when he came home last night. I was mad coz he ended up with no ECB.
I asked him to go do the crest (Buy $20 Get $10 deal). I gave him a list and possible scenarios.
I wanted him to get 3 bottles of rinse $5.99 each & 1 toothpaste $3.99. We need them and I have man Q. So off he went to the next borough (Manhattan not included in the crest deal).
Well, here's what said in the receipt:

I can out of the grocery store after church with only 2 papers today & my honey said they were out? I told him yes. I didn't want to have to explain that I buy the double packs because they are $1.00 less for the two pack then buying them separatly. So he had to run to the auto parts store & my sweet husband brings me back 5 papers (packaged seperatly). I didn't bother to go through the above! I just said thank you! and told him how sweet he was! I don't want to nag at his thoughtfullness!!

My hubby shops ALL the time for me and does a phenominal job! I am so proud of him for learning. Shoot he even flips into Gc's!!

Sometimes they just don't understand! Mine is absolutely clueless when it comes to coupons and discounts! DS works at walmart and gets 10% discount, Dh went yesterday and got some stuff and FORGOT to use the card! Or I will give him a coupon and he won't use it and say, well you can use it next time.
