If you've CVSed on the fly/ in the store... How do you have your coupons organized? (I see the other thread was moved but this is CVS related). I always look at the ad ahead of time a carry an envelope with the Q's for my deal. I've heard many of you go in and look and then create great deals on the fly. How do you have your Q's organized for this? I assume you bring all your coupons with you but are they in A-Z order or by category? Other? This seems like it would be really hard for me to do but maybe because I'm new and have a toddler with me. Enlighten me please ![]()

I use baseball card holders to hold my coupons and keep them all in a binder filed in A-Z order (using tabs for each letter). It works for me since I can flip to the "C" tab if I am looking for a Colgate coupon, for example. The binder stays in the car unless I am updating it on Sunday with new coupons. That way, I always have it when I need it! ![]()

I have a beyond overstuffed accordion file that is A-Z that I always have with me that holds most of my Q's. (I do have an overflow folder too though) When I am hitting several stores, I have a plastic check organizer that I got in the $1 bin at Target. (12 tabs, 13 slots) I have a tab for each store I shop at frequently, CVS, Walgreens, Target, Safeway, Albertsons, etc. So behind each tab I keep my ECBs, RR, Catalina's, and store specific coupons. So before I go, I put my list for each store and the Q's I need in each section and then I can just easily pull out what I need. I do always have my main Q folder in a bag though as you never know what might be on clearance or in store special. I do make lists of what I'm looking for in the stores so I don't forget something on sale, but a lot of times I'm just winging it. I don't have small kids though so it's easy for me to set my purse and my two Q files in the cart for easy access. Everyone has a different method of organization. The best thing to do is read what others do anI d then decide what works best for you. Last edited by carlsonfour; 05-16-2008 at 09:03 AM. Reason: typo

I have a baseball binder and I have mine organized into different groups, etc...snacks, deodorants, shampoos, body washes, frozen foods, drinks, etc. I find that is a lot easier to use for me....then when I go shopping I always have it with me...

I couldn't do it on the fly. I am a person that plan for everything. I admire the people that can do it though.

I also organize mine by category. I have three photo albums (clearance Target). Two big ones hold 2 4x6 pics on each page, double sided. The small one holds one on each page, double sided. One is for food. Tabbed MEAT, CAN, DAIRY, PACKAGE, ect. It's not so much what it is as to where it is. I only shop Kroger for food so all there stores are layed out the same. In my second it is everything else But girl stuff (ie makeup, bodywash) It is tabbed as PETS, CLEANING, PAPER, PLASTIC, PERSONAL(shaving, drugs, toothpaste, ect). The third is a very small one. Girl stuff. Makeup, bath products, hair products. I carry in a large briefcase with these books in there. And I never leave home without it.

I am going to see my DS and fam in July. My DIL has been Q'ing for a few months now. I will take my Q bag with me so we can go shopping while I'm there. I don't know what excites me more. Getting to spend a week with them and my DD and my 2 Grand daughter's who are flying with me. A whole week with most of my kids or a few shopping trips in SC with my DIL! ![]() PS every please say a nice prayer to the CVS and Wags god's that the week of July 12-19th is a great week for sales! ![]() I may have a problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I put any Q's that might be good for that week in a special "This week @ CVS" envelope. When I go in, I generally know which frees/moneymakers I want to get and just buy the ones that are available. Generally I have to rearrange my deal when I plan it out due to things not being in stock, but it has taught me to be able to do it on the fly. Now that is pretty much how I always do it. It has also been much easier to do it lately since there really aren't THAT great of deals out there recently. The only issue I have is that I have to be able to add an item or 2 beyond my $15 (so I can use my 3/15) so I can use up some of my larger ECB's. I don;t get quite as good of a deal, but I get to keep rolling! I lost a few ECB's recently and I'm working hard at staying 2 weeks ahead of any expiring ECB's now. I don't want my hard earned ECB's going to waste!!!

I print out a list for my trip and pull my Q's. I don't have time to do the baseball cards, I have a whole binder full of empty ones now. I just keep them organized by SS, RP, V and date. Use the virtual coupon organizer to find certain ones, or my list has them posted. Then I include other coupons for possible deals. I have my lists for Target, Walgreens, & CVS. Use a recycled envelope for my coupons. Separate one for making possible deals. I have one I use for the grocery store. I just cut out coupons I know we will use like eggs, soy milk. My stores are always out, so I have to have extra coupons with me. BUt if I carried a binder, I would be in the store forever. But if it is a deal I dont have coupons, I am sol or have to come back. But I usually only go to the stores once a week. I only have 1 store, no multiple cvs or walgreens. A regular Target, not super Target. Looking for a cd case to put my coupons in and I can put tabs on it. looking for the perfect one. A stuffed fish case with the mouth for the cd's just wont work. ![]()

I have coupons that I think I might be using all in front of the coupon organizer system I have. So whatever I need, I can get them easily. I have other coupons by category and they are easy to find as well so If I have to pick up nesquick for my boy or whatever, they are easy to find as well.

Very interesting. I'm going to have to come up with a plan. It's getting a little out of hand! ![]()

How many coupons do you have? I have multiples of the same inserts, but they are not all together. They're all stacked in a big pile. I have some cut up and some are in little envelopes to take with me. I don't want to spend hours getting them all in like groups, but I just don't know what to do.

I started the other post! And I read all the replies in old posts and this post and I decided to buy the binder and baseball cards and a thing for business cards. I spent 2 hrs last night going thru most of my coupons I still have a ton more. I have an organizer that I got from another site which I will use for my shopping list. I feel like when I stopped cutting coupons I missed out on a bunch. So im back to cutting all my coupons. I have multiples too and I may just keep those with me and cut as needed, if im runnning low on time

I get my list together and get my coupons. I put them all together with a paperclip, so without my stash of Q's with me I can't really deviate much from the intended plan. My goal is not to be noticed (singled out as the coupon lady or something) and a stack of Q's in a paperclip can fit neatly in my small purse or even my pocket.
