I'm new to CVS (about 2 months now) and I've done pretty well with my deals. It seems that June and the next 2 weeks don't have nearly as many deals (freebies/ moneymakers) as before. Have you noticed the deals go in spurts and this is just a spurt or maybe this is a reflection of economy and CVS not "giving away" as much? Maybe it's just me? Thoughts please.

Just when you think the CVS moneymakers are a thing of the past......good times are here again Just wait, there will be more. I think the worse the economy is, the better deals they have to offer to get people in the store.

I've been really disappointed in CVS in the past few weeks. I went from going at LEAST once a day (different stores, though) to only going once in the past 2 1/2 weeks!!!

I hope some new, better deals begin soon!

I am GLAD that I am not shopping there so much these days actually... hehe... I am still rolling deals on things that we need but it's nice to not feel like I have to go everyday to get what we need. It's a nice break on the gas too.

I'm an oddball though. I don't miss the deals? Ah well....

They will be back again I am sure.

I was not expecting April to be good, but then EOB deal turned out to be a pretty good deal, and the covergirl deal.
And there was that sweet, sweet M&Ms deal.

Last week was that hidden free toothbrush deal.

And who knew Hawaiian topic could be such sweet deal this week. I could not find any in my store myself, but you never know when those sweet deals will come.

Weekend of 25 won't be too bad with revlon deal. And if you have the Q for it, their mustard will be really cheap.

Not many ECB deals the next two weeks. A little dissapointed but I am still able to get some good deals.

They do tend to run it like this. One great month then a really pathetic one. It'll get better, plus there are always hidden deals!

Yes, it does go in spurts. The other year October was a banner month with a bunch of frees & back then they allowed unlimited rolling rather than limiting the deals. For about 6 weeks after that, I thought the deals were pretty poor & I really had to work at rolling ECB to keep it going. I did have to liquidate some that time to prevent just losing them.

That is why doing all the hot monthly deals first thing in the month can be dangerous to your ECB count. They expire in 4 weeks and if the next month starts off with limited quality of deals, you really have to work to keep your ECB. I like to spread it out throughout the month so I don't have a bunch expiring all at once but then you have to fight product shortages - a double edged sword.....

Just do what you can periodically to keep some rolling in your account & it will pay off eventually!

I just go with the flow of things...
