Okay, I haven't seen this around, and I've checked it several times. Take a slip of paper with this formula with you and you'll make sure you use ECB's without losing part of them. Sometimes I've had to re-work deals in the store and sit there and wonder about whether I'm doing it right... ADD ALL ITEM's SUBTOTALs. MINUS ( CVS STORE Coupons & ECB's You think you'll Use ) MULTIPLY THAT BY 1+STATE SALES TAX RATE [i.e. North Dakota is 1+ .0675 so x1.0675] NOW SUBTRACT OFF MANUFACTURER's COUPONS EQUALS - Your OOP Ideally your OOP should be as close to 0 as possible, but keep in mind that your OOP will NEVER be lower than your Sales Tax that is added in step 3. If I'm wrong on this, please let me know... It might just be helpful to carry an idex card with this infor on it with your coupons, so if you do have to re-work, it doesn't turn out too, too bad.

Where in ND? MULTIPLY THAT BY 1+STATE SALES TAX RATE [i.e. North Dakota is 1+ .0675 so x1.0675] So I was wondering where in ND are you located?

because that gives you the total with the tax already added in, if you just multiply by the tax, you still have to add the tax to the total, saves a step..

Will this work even if you don't hand over ECBs until last? My store's manager won't accept ECBs until the very end (if you try to give them earlier and then hand over MQs they void off the ECB and then ring in the MQs and then re-ring the ECBs). I think it will, just wanting to make sure. Thanks for this! This is helpful. Linz

| Technically this won't be 100% accurate. Some coupons will remove tax for the item and others will not. ETA: It is easiest to just figure your subtotal, minus your CVS $/$$, MFC Coupons & CVS Coupons. Then from your new subtotal figure the amount of ECBs you can use. Tax varies too much to make an accurate formula that will work for everyone, especially since some coupons may remove tax from the applicable product and some may not.
