I have NEVER so much as stepped foot into a CVS before, but we are headed to MA. to visit the in-laws and figured Id lose my CVS-virginity on May 24-25. Soooo... I am offering a potluck of Q's to whose ever name I randomly pick that has the patience to help me figure this trip out.

I dont have an ECB card or whatever you pro's need to catch a good deal, dont know if it would even benefit me if it were just a one time trip. Any advice on how to make the best of this would be appreciated.

Seriously.. I need the total CVS for dummies run down.

What are some good deals I can look forward to? Help me out with some scenerio's

Anissa...having the card would definitely benefit you in the fact that ONE trip to CVS WITH the card would turn into MANY trips to CVS with the card!!! And you get to use the scanners! I love it!

Oh how I WISH it could turn into more than one trip.. but considering we're traveling 6 hours away to the in-laws for a short weekend (which really only happens twice a year) it wouldnt be possible to turn it into more. UNLESS, I did CVS on the Saturday and returned again on Sunday.. I sure hope I dont fall in love with CVS and end up with a broken heart when its time to come back home!

Either way, there's no cost for registering for a card...and if you don't have it in time...they may be able to access you via phone number....order a card. Better to have it always and use it never than to never have it and need it ever!!! <-----OMG, I'm getting loopy tired! Got a ring to it though!

Yeah we have CVS's upstate.. but the nearest one is 2.5 hours away. Thats a 5 hour trip just to go to CVS. DH would KILL me and so would the gas prices! haha

That said, go to the pharmacy and pick up an application to apply for a ECB card. You fill it out right then & there and she will give you a card to use that day!

You don't have any CVS coupons to use.. but that is okay!!

Look over that week's ad (lochelle just posted it).

Try and go Sunday (May 25th) first thing in the morning (good sale=go fast) and buy (3) revlon nail polish. They are $3.99 (you get back at the end of the receipt $3.00 ECB for each one=making them .99cents).

If you can find any revlon coupons, even better!!!

You check out, present your ECB card first, they scan the (3) nail polishs = total $11.97 - $ revlon coupon. You get back $9.00 ECB at the end of the receipt that is good for 1 month.

That is all I could come up with for now.

oooh, another thing!! Some stores (not all) program the week's sale ads into the system late Saturday night.

So if you go late Sat (May 24th) you can take advantage of last week's sale and the upcoming sale (May 25th - May 31st)!!!

To test out whether the store has the sale already programed.

Either (1) ask the manager and they should be able to tell you or

(2) test it out by buying something that is on sale only that week (May 25-31).

Then take the $6.00 ECB you earned and get a Johnson and Johnson Softwash or lotion for $5.99 (no OOP) and earn $2.00 in ECB back.
