Went to cvs with DD to do CG deal.
My order 4 Trublend Cover Girl foundations

Used 2 B1 G1 Free coupons.

Then register wouldn't take my coupons. Tia read the coupon and said I could buy just the foundations. She said I had to buy another Cover girl product. I disagreed and said no that it should work. I had her void 2 of them. The register still wouldn't take the coupon. She argued that I still ned to buy another GC because I was getting them b1G1 Free. So I had her add another for a total of 3. Then I owed $10.82. It didn't generate ANY ecb's. I thought it would generate $12.00 why didn't it? What happened with this order? This was my oldest DD card and she didn't do the deal yet.

I had done this deal earlier with my card. So I know it works. On my card I got 4 and used 2 B1G1 free coupons and got $18.00
They have new computers. And they had a hard time getting the coupon to accept it. They had to swipe the managers card then.

Anyone know why this happened? Is it because she voided the 2 bottles off is that the reason why no ecbs? I want to take the makeup back now. If I do will I get my money & coupon value back? I was only doing the deal because it was b1G1 free sale. She tried to tell me I couldn't use the coupon because of the sale cvs was having. I told her she was wrong when I was leaving DD said she gave me a nasty look.

yeah i had a problem with these and im not sure what happened.....

she said the comp wouldnt take any more than 5 of my covergirls bogo's. So we voided off 4 items and were gonan ring them up sep. ....well the computer did somethibg crazy and instaed of voiding it added two more so she had to refund my money for the two.........i dunno it was weird!!! but she is my regular cashier and she had no prob trying to figure out my deal so I could all my coupons!

Hi! I'm still new to this, but what do you mean by "the register wouldn't take it"? Did the cashier input the price of the second foundation as your free item & it still wouldn't take? I just did this deal last night without a problem. I didn't get two foundations though, I purchased a foundation and a blush. I know you said you did this deal before & got the ECBs for it, but I thought only the TruBlend WHIPPED was generating ECBs for the monthly deal & those were excluded from the B1G1 promotion??

I would call corporate about this issue & let them know that the store was not aware about using a Q with a B1G1 sale......

i did this yesterday too and didnt get the extra bucks either. I still have a few more coupons it worked for me during the week wth the whipped but didnt work yesterday with the trublend foundation like the sign said

I did this yesterday too, and nothing scanned right, I didn't get the b1g1f and no ecb either, so I'm taking them back, even thought I paid mostly with eb, hopefully they will give me a gc back for it or something because I don't want it that bad, you know.

I don't know if this will help or not but... Last week the trublend products were on sale bogo. This however, excluded the whipped which was the item generating the $6 ECB's. So if the trublend foundation you purchased was in the little pot (whipped) and you hadn't maxed out your deal yet you should have received up to $18.00 in ECB.

so if you bought four of these and used two coupons you should have paid around $20. (approx. $40 less the two coupons) and then received $18.00 in ECB.

btw, I took mine back this morning and they gave me a refund on a gc!

I had a similar problem when I was trying to finish a deal on Saturday afternoon before the BOGO started. My store had already turned the BOGO on, so they weren't counting towards the buy $20 get $10 back. The newest or what they call the 'best deal' overrode it. I suspect the register considered the BOGO the better deal for you and screwed up the ECB deal. At least that's the way the manager had explained it to me at the time. They fixed mine. Gave me $10 cash because I'd bought $20 of product it didn't count.

I would take it back and explain and hopefully they will do the same or at least re-ring it now that the sale is over so you can get your ECBs. I purposely waited to get more as I figured it would just screw up the ECB again. Now, I'm glad I did as I see others are having the same problem.

In my store flyer the trublend whpped makeup was not included in the bogo offer. It was in very small print on the flyer but it was marked with a sticker that said it was included with the bogo sale. I did get my $6.00 ecb and used the coupon.

opps! I didn't read the coupon. She did and didn't say anything about it being 1 per transaction. I will have to read them now! Grr I hate when I do that!

I purchased 4 CG products (1 Trublend liquid foundation, 1 Trublend Minerals powder foundation, 1 Trublend loose powder & 1 Trublend concealer) last night. Should I have received any ECB's or is it just the whipped Trublend that was generating ECB's? TIA
