Hello- ![]() I have been reading here for awhile, and I have enjoyed learning from the experts!!!! You guys really are amazing!!!!!!!!!! Here is my question- How many cards is one person allowed to have at CVS according to the CVS rules? I frequently read on here about people with LOTS of cards, and it got me to wondering. I am not asking to ruffle any feathers or judge anyone else, just want to know for myself. TIA!

Okay, I guess maybe I asked a question no one wants to answer? Gulp!I am really sorry if I offended anyone by asking! I really (promise!) just wanted to know for myself, to make my own decisions. What anyone else does or does not do is no biggie to me. To each his own! ![]() I tried finding the answer on the CVS extra care page, but had no luck. Again, sorry if I caused problems, it was not my intention. I just figured somebody here would know. Y'all are CVS masters, so I figured this was the place to find out!!!! Sorry again....... |

Technically, it's one per person. I've got 2, one for me (that i use often) and 1 for DH that i only use for super good money maker deals or freebies. You didn't offend anyone!! You asked a legitimate question ![]()

I don't think that anyone was offended. Yes, some people do have more than one card. Some have cards in their name and then also in DH's name or a parent. I choose only to have one card because sometimes I find it hard to keep up with one let alone multiples.

I think this is a tricky issue. The other day a manager messed up my order so returned it then rerung it. EB printed fine but then it said I had done EOB deal 4 times when really only 2 ties. He told me to get another card so I could do the deal again. So I think that there policy is a little shaddy. Oh course now some of the adds say one deal per household so that would ean if you and your husband both have cards you should only do it on one card. But there is also no way of CVS stopping you from doing it on both card. I personally have a hard time keeping up with one card. I would say get the hang of one card before you try doing two.

I haven't seen anything in writing either on the extracare webpage or on the application form that says that there is really a limit to how many cards a person or household can have (I could be wrong and if anyone can point me toward that, I will not be offended). The weekly and monthly ads do now state that the limits of the deals are 'per household', but I think that wording is so that a store can reasonably limit the number of items that a single person tries to buy (whether in one transaction or several) to ensure product availability for other customers. I mean, before the 'per household' wording, if a manager/cashier/whomever tried to limit the product a customer was buying, they could argue back "it says 'per card' and I have lots of cards, so it you don't let me purchase x amount per card as you've stated in the ad, well that's false advertising, so what's the problem?" and now the manager can say "I'm sorry, but clearly states 'per household' so we have a right to limit you as an individual household." However, I've spoken w/ a manager in the past who didn't mind people having multiple cards b/c it meant that they were helping move more product out of the store and boost their numbers. I think it mainly depends on the attitude of the store where you shop. For people that do have multiple cards, though, it's nice when they are considerate and don't take too much from one store so that the stuff is available for other customers to enjoy, too. I think as long as people are not going crazy w/ their cards and taking all of something in a store, it's not really such a bad thing. My friend and I both have more than one card and tend to shop the deals together, but we make a consious effort to spread our shopping out among our several stores and always leave items for those who may come in after us. I think that's why one of our stores refers to us as 'the good coupon ladies' and asks us what they need to order in for future sales for us, as opposed to 'those other coupon ladies that I wish I could throw out of the store.' It's all in how you present yourself as a non-greedy, reasonable person. ![]()

I regularly run 2 cards- my mom's and mine. My mom has had her card for way longer than I have had mine, but she just doesn't like to shop like I do. I do all the deals we can use on both and keep her in supply of everything she needs, but she then lets me spend all her ecbs. I love shopping and don't mind lots of trips to CVS. I am then also able to max out deals for things like diapers and soda on both of our cards.

I have one card. There are times I wish my hubby had one also, esp when there are SUPER deals. I think I am going to try to have my DIL get one and teach her how to do the deals. She works full time and is busy, but it is worth a try. I usually give the kids anything they want in my stock. We have 6 children and the youngest is now 7, so we go through a LOT of CVS items.
