Another thread made me really want to try out that hot air hair styler thing. And if it does not work, I suppose I could return, but I am wondering what's going to happen if it won't work and I return it..... what's going to happen to a product after it being used? Is CVS going to lose money over this if I return it?

Most retailers get credit for any used/defective merchandise that is returned to their store. They don't lose any money.

We put it back on the shelf after taping the package. Especially if it's food, condoms or any hygiene product being returned.

Just kidding. Usually we damage it out and send it back to get credit. If it's something that's been returned but not used and can be put back out on the shelf, we will sometimes do that.

Good point Angel ~ I forgot about the "satisfaction guarantee" but isn't that just on CVS brand items?!?

becuase I've been putting candies back on the shelf after my three year old opened it and have eaten half of it... and those countless chocolates I've been eating half of it while I have been shopping and putting other half back. You know, I thought nobody would notice...

And used razors, they are the best! (how do you think CVS are able to do all those great ECB deals?)

Absolutely! Nothing cuts as well as those dulled down, used razors! Whether they cut what they're supposed to is another story!

And funny that you mention the candy. I find it hilarious, in a non-funny sorta way, when someone takes a candy bar or something and eats/steals half of it and leaves the rest. If you're going to steal at least take the whole dang thing!

that reminds me of a story... My mom used to teach Piano from home, and always gives candies to young students after each lessons.

One day I was doing my homework at dining table and I was snacking on something as I was doing homework. my mom was teaching piano.

candies were in individual wrappers and after eating them, I put the wrapper inside of another wrapper and wrapped it up to make it look like a new candy just for fun. But didn't put them back with new candies though so I know which ones were new and which ones were made by me.

then I stepped away for a while..... my mom didn't know about my not-so-new candies so she gave few of those wrapper candies to the student.

I really did not do it to trick anybody.....

My CVS form what I hear throws most of the stuff away!? One of the workers told me that someone had returned a telescope, reason being the customer said it didn't focus well enough. So in the dumpster it went!

I DID! I used to do this and give it to a family member as a joke. It is so funny to watch their faces when they think they are getting a KISS and it is just paper. It would make a nice april fools joke for a coworker too!
