| Starting a New CVS Extra Care Card Ok, I am VERY new to CVS'ing and My son wants me to start his new card off right. Accumulate as much free/ cheap goodies that turn into ECBS for him. I have no idea where to begin with a week like this. Are there any monthly or hiddens I should look for? Any and all advise TAKEN! ![]() |

| There are a lot of good "free" ECBs in the March monthly (as long as you can find them!) toothpaste, vitamin C, lypsyl chapstick, etc. May are limit 5. split items between transactions so you'll get a lower ECB (easier to use). This is a slow week as far as weekly ad - you're better looking for any monthly deals. |

| Just off the top of my head, I would get: 5 of the Colgate Total Advance Clean toothpaste(2.99) 2 of the Oral B Crossaction Prohealth toothbrushes(4.99) - Mine actually rang up at 4.49 and then I used my $1off coupons! -1.00 coupons 2 of the Crest Pro-health Night mouthwash bottles (250mL that are like 3.69 or so...) 5 of the Vitamin C 110 ct bonus size bottles(2.99) *ETA - didn't realize the cereal coupon was for the larger size, sorry! | danielephant I would get a card at the store before you get the RX. They give you 1eb for every two rx you fills (the eb will print at the end of the quarter and we just started the sprint quater a few days ago so you will have three months to wait for this but still). Also wen you get home with the card you can register it online and they will email you a $4/20 coupon. Print it out and use it everytime you go until it expires. This way once you start cvsing you will have a coupon to make the deals better. Also you might want to get in on some of the March month deals. Especially the free after EB. Vit. C, lypseal and colgate all 2.99 and get 2.99 back in eb just to get you started next month. I also see you have a little one so this month th playskool wipes (3 pack) is 7.49 and you get 3eb. Also a printable $1 off coupon at verybestbaby.com (or some have pellies on it) and also look for a purple flier at the pharmacy. Inside is a $2/10 cvs product. And playskool wipes are cvs. Hope this helps you get started. |

| Ok, another question arose while I was writing a list. Should I seperate purchase IE Toothpaste, leave Return for crest pro health and maybe the toothbrushes, Pay with previous ecbs and a lil cash, Return for vitamins and lypsyl? Would this be the best investment for ecbs without a lot of OOP? |

| The Vitamins, Lypsl, and Colgate are all 2.99 limit 5. If you can I would buy 5 of one, come back and buy 5 of another, use the ECB(should be exact amount, come back and but the last one with the ECB. Thus get all 15 items for 14.95 and still have 14.95 for your next purchase. |

I *rarely* have a total that high after coupons... So for *me,* I would rather get a mixture of 5, like 2 vitamins, 2 lypsyl, and a toothbrush or something like that so that the ECBs aren't so high... You would (or at least I would) rather end up with several low-dollar ECBs than a couple of large ones. GL! Either way, I'm sure you'll do great! |
