Ok so I just learned of this. My favorite CVS has a product of the month. This month it is little bags of nuts for .99. My manager always tries to get me to buy some. I guess they have a contest and he said he is going up against 21 other stores. Not sure if they win anything or just bragging rights and I am not sure if it s just in m area (Durham, NC) or if ever store has this but I thought it was a good filler especially for your favorite store. I will be trying to help out my favorite store this month.

I think mine was doing the peanut thing too. Last week when I was in there the cashier was suggestive selling the little bags of peanut for 99 cents and when you bought 2 you get $2 in ECB. -- Needless to say I bought 2

Our CVS cashiers always ask the customers to buy these items to donate for the troops overseas - and they sell a lot of them that way!

Are these the Gold Emblem cashews by the register?

My cashier suggested them the other day as a filler...I opted for chocolate instead. If I had known I definately would have bought them from her!

Ha, ha! I think my store does the same thing because the cashier was talking to another cashier saying how she has sold a bunch of cashews. The lady in front of me bought a pack, but I passed (no ECB...). Plus I'm not a fan of cashews.

my store told me they have some sort of contest with this stuff. The winning store gets prizes such as a $25 prepaid visa card for each of its employees. I try to use them as fillers when I need one.

It's the gold emblem cashews and only some stores do it. THe winning prizes are gift cards for the whole store (for a store in like 3rd place), then a larger gift card for the next up store, and then gift cards for all the employees in the most sold store (plus a TV for the general manager of that store). The contest in through the month of march.
