| Hershey Simple Pleasures question
CVS.com has a 2.50 off two pouches of hersheys simple pleasures chocolates. It doesnt say excludes trial sizes. Could this be used on 2 of those .67 pouches and have the 1.16 balance go towards other items? (I posted this under coupons, but didnt get a response. I was hoping someone here would know more about this.) |

My store adjusts the coupon down and does not give overage.

I dunno about using that q because the .67 item (IMO) looks more like a "bar" than a "pouch", in the ad. Needless to say, I printed the $2.50 off 2 q, it is a CVS q, starts with a "4". That would be a sweet deal even if no overage applied. Sorry, I couldn't resist that pun! |

I had one of the $1 off Simple Pleasures from the red machine which also didn't exclude Trial Size (they must have thought about that, as later in the week they did have the no Trial Size exclusion printed on them). It worked just fine for the small size, and took off the full $1 (not sure if that had anything to do with what I had, but there wasn't any other Hershey item). They actually look like a small package of Skittles or M&M's like you'd find at the register, but shorter (closer to a square shape than the others which are more like a rectangle) - so sort of a pouch (if not exactly what the regular sized ones look like, which is a stand up bag). What it had was 3 individually wrapped chocolates inside that looked like chocolate coins with filling as indicated on package (the ones I had were vanilla filled). |

Not to be a downer but it says "pouch"...just bc it doesn't beep doesn't make it okay. Did any of you read the post about using coupons incorrectly at CVS?????? IJS Sent from my iPhone using AFullCup

I think it's okay to use it on the trial size as long as it's not excluded. Overage is always YMMV though. The reason I think it's ok is because the CRT was printing for them without any trial size exclusion. Then they realized it and said to exclude trial size. This is a new product so us nor the cashiers could be expected to understand their distinction between a pouch vs. bag vs. packet, etc. Hershey's puts out very specific coupons so if they truly meant it only for the large "pouches" they might have put an oz requirement on the coupon (like they do all the time) or changed that coupon to also exclude trial sizes. The trial size is a packet with 3 individually wrapped candies. Definitely not a bar. That's just my thoughts, I understand some might disagree

I never abuse coupons at CVS. When I had the $1 off coupons I bought about 8 bags of the trial size and had the coupon cover those, not my other items. There is no size exclusions and the big bags are a lot of money. If they adjust it then I'm happy with free candy. |
