I don't think paying with the EBCs would matter is not a coupon so manufacturer shouldn't care how you pay for the product. Well at least I thought ECBs were like CVS money.

In the past they have not given rebates if ECB's used. They got wise to this over the last few rebate offers.

To those getting these for family members make sure they can actually use these as meters are not interchangeable with test strips. Meaning a One Touch cannot use an Accuchek test strip and vice versa.

Also if someone is newly diagnosed I would suggest they go to the onetouch.com website and apply for a meter there (they send a One Touch Ultra Mini).

I will be curious to know if the rebates work. I read on another site (don't stone me) that the MIR will read price after coupons. This is probably wrong because you have to circle price paid.

I'm on the fence but I will probably do the deal and give to my Aunt who is a home help nurse or donate it. I have no use for this which goes against by personal policy of not buying stuff that my family won't use. I guess this would be an exception to the rule.

It is the net price after coupons. It says that on the rebate card.

FYI : I use a Kroger Generic (Agamatrix) meter that only costs between $4-8$. They also sometimes have a rebate. CHEAPER than replacing the battery !!
The test strips for this item are usually about $70 or so per 100.
When I get my monthly supply of 200 strips, my ONLY cost is $14 ! !
I have Medicare & part D (Through Medco - HIGHLY RECCOMEND !!) plus a slight assistance from social services.
Just keep it in mind for those that are trying to get meters and ACTUALLY use them!
The company does not care about the coupons/rebaes etc if you also buy their test strips.

Just My Thoughts On The Matter.

My Mom's cost nothing for the One Touch using her Medicare supplemental plan. If you have a supplemental plan the strips are usually free for the One Touch (One Touch will send you a free meter). They don't make the money on the meters the money is made on the strips.

I am a RN and do home health and since they all pretty much work the same...I use it to teach diabetic patients and their family how meter pretty much work...thanks

Me 2 and I sometimes leave the machine with them and have the pharmacy send the strips for them so they have a machine right away because more often than not they lose their machines or left them at someone else house ect.....

Sorry to but everyone's bubble but the MIR on this might not work if you end up paying nothing. I know this for a fact bc I tried it with $0 OOP and the company responded that I had to have had pay money in order to get money back. My suggestion, somehow spend $10 oop buying other ECB triggered items.... then submit for the MIR.

We realize this People have mentioned paying cash or with a gift card. Its still a MM if you pay for it OOP.

Has anyone tried blacking out the payment portion of the receipt? Did you get approved or denied? That usually works with other rebates and I am not seeing a 'receipt void if marked' warning.
