Is it just me or is clearance cosmetic usually a better deal than buying cosmetics at regular price with ECB deals?

For example, the ongoing Revlon $3 ECB for $10 spend. You can get a $9.99 lip stick, which would be $6.99 after ECB. BUT... a 50% clearance item would be $5.00.

Am I missing something here?

I guess it depends on the makeup you want. I did the Revlon deal but I bought two things I actually needed even though they were full price and I had no coupons D:

Yes sometimes Clearance in general are a better deal then using coupons. I got a huge bag of paper clips at staples for $1.00 clearance price.

It really depends on the products you use. Somehow,the clearance products are somewhat "outdated", but i did score good tonight on Revlon with $3.00 Revlon CRT,$2.00 ANY COSMETIC CRT AND MQs.

It isnt a rule that one is always better. You need to look at what you want and then make the decision. This week, for example it was possible to pay as little as $1 or $2 after coupons for a $10 set of Revlon stuff, then get the $4 back and then use that money to buy whatever clearance you want. Then you are getting $2-3 off the clearance price since the Rev was a MMer.

For me, the get $4 back deal allowed me to buy some things that I actually wanted & would've bought at some point anyway. The clearance stuff was tempting but was stuff that I never intended to buy, therefore it'd be just an impulse buy so I avoided it.
