After doing some greetings to new people, I decided to check out my first post in the welcome mat. It made me realize I didn't shop CVS. I thought they were WAY overpriced and didn't buy into the earning ECBs that would force you to come back I am such a CVS-aholic now!

Did you shop CVS pre-AFC? If you did, did you also coupon at the time?

Only occasionally. I used to shop Rite-aid/Eckerd's and Walgreens when they had All-in-one rebates. Now, I almost always go to CVS.

I shopped CVS at retail prices before I couponed.

Same here only occasionally would I shop at CVS. I also thought prices were too high. Now I'm there at least three times a week!

I only went to CVS before for prescriptions. I thought CVS prices where way to high. Now I am there almost everyday.

The only really close by CVS is a huge pita to get into, the parking lots design is seriously stupid. Now, I usually brave it several times a week but it took a pretty big MMer to get me in there at all. Then after I started becoming pretty frustrated with that CVS (so many stupid little issues) but still wanting the deals, I sought out other areas. I can do a 20-30 minute drive in a couple of directions and hit clusters of CVS (and RA). So I usually do that once a week. Alternating directions based on other errands that I need to run. But the close CVS is pretty good to me now, I had a talk with the SM and I think some re training must have taken place becasue things that used to be very problematic are NBD now.

I would only shop CVS occasionally (while there getting a prescription and needing some over the counter meds) and griped all the way home about how over priced they were. I think there were a couple of times that I got ECBs that printed and I threw them away. I know, I know.....makes me cringe just thinking about it now.
My friend thinks couponing is stupid and way to time consuming (but boy does she love to come over and get bag fulls from my stockpile) and shops the drugstores for makeup all the time. she even got an ECB that printed and called me the next day to tell me. I was so excited - couldnt wait to come up with scenarios to roll it into a better deal - until she stuck a knife right thru me with "oh, I threw that away with the receipt". WHAT?!?!?!? my how times have changed for me. Hopefully soon I can get her to see the light.

Every work day I went there in the morning on break to buy junk food. Back then I always forgot my red card. Now I freak if I don't have it.

I never shopped at CVS, like others here I thought their prices were too high. I shopped at Walmart and used my coupons but couldnt figure out why I still had high non-food item bills. This was before I found AFC. But now as my hubby says (in a funny voice)"she's working the deals"

I was just like you..thought they were way overpriced, and went to Wags more...but now...after AFC, no way would i ever stop. besides the fact that my couponing in there got my daughter a job!!! so hey killed 2 birds with one stone!!

I have shopped at CVS for a while. When I was single me and my dog would walk there alot because it was around the corner from my apartment. I don't even remember saving and using ECB. I think that I probably threw them away

Now I know how to play the CVS game w/coupons and ECBs!

I used to shop CVS before AFC, but only if it was more convenient than going to Walmart. My mom even gave me a red card for my keychain linked to her account when I was in college. I'd use it IF I remembered and occasionally scanned it at the kiosk, but only once per trip- never multiple scans. I usually ended up throwing out the CRTs (especially a few $/$$- yikes!!!) and never making it back to CVS before the ECBs I got expired. Boy has AFC cured me of that!!

I didn't even know what CVS was before AFC. I had lived in a small town with no CVS stores anywhere close and then I had moved to an area with them all over the place, but since I had never been there I just had no use for it. I would just hit up Walgreens and pay retail because it was what I had been use to. I still don't shop CVS too much, but I definately am not afraid to go there for a good deal!

I started couponing and I did coupon at cvs pre afc but I do a whole lot better now with afc now I check before I walk into the store to make sure no clearance pop up and any deals I might have over looked

Ahhh, that cracks me up! I am moving to a place that is crawling with Wags but only one, not very convenient, CVS. Scary!

I think CVS owes Robbo and MissD a salary!

before AFC the only coupons I used was for Oil of Olay (cleanser, moisturizer, night cream). So, I would wait until CVS had them on sale (cheaper than walmart) and then used my coupons. but that was it. I did not do rebates back then, etc. LOL

Oh, you are hitting Wags at possibly a horrible time (but maybe a great one). Have you been following what is going on with the RR/ soon to be issued new card program. Not a lot is known about the new system so it could end up being great but I would prepare as if it werent and stockpile all I could right now.

I think I went into CVS a couple of times before "couponing" but always thought everything was ridiculously priced and did most of my toiletry shopping at Target. Now I get practically all my toiletries at CVS and couldn't have done most of the deals without all the help from this great site. Thanks to all of you, especially Robbo and MissD

Honestly, I thought CVS only sold medicine and prescription drugs! I never even went in the store until AFC! LOL. Now I'm in there at least once a week.

I loved CVS even before I started couponing. I'm obsessed with nail polish (current stash has about 115 bottles) and my CVS got all the new displays in before any other store. .

I've seen bits and pieces. As far as I can tell, no one really knows any details. Am I right on that? I decided not to start at Wags until the changes go into effect so I don't accrue RRs and then lose them because my stockpile is pretty set right now. It is supposed to change in September, right? How do you like Wags?

I would always say, " I dont know how CVS stays open, it is so expensive!" Now I say, "I dont know what I would do without CVS!" I am there at least 3 times a week! Target who? LOL

I did shop there pre-AFC but not before I started couponing. Pre-coupining, the only time I would go in there was for prescriptions.
