The 6 Pantene products with the B1G1 and $1/2 -- I undersand this fully and makes total sense. Does the machine beep? Will the cashiers be obnoxious about "too many coupons?" I am a bit of an introvert and the last time I used a coupon, the cashier was very impolite, like I was trying to rob CVS!

Stopped in at CVS today to get the Pantene w/ 1 BOGO Q. My ad said Limit 1 for the $1 ECB & that's all I planned to get of Pantene today... Looked on my receipt & saw the offer limit was not reached. Had another BOGO Q w/ me, so went back in & did it again. Got another $1 ECB & Limit still not reached! By this time, I'm really curious as to what the limit is going to be. Tonight tried it again w/ another BOGO Q, got the $1 ECB & Limit still not reached. So I only had 1 BOGO Q left & did the transaction again & got the $1 ECB again... Finally my receipt said Offer Limit Reached. Anybody else have a Limit 4 on the $1 ECB wyb 2 Pantene?

I think it's a monthly deal with a limit 4, so it's good that you did them all separate, cause I think it's a limit of 4 for the month, but 1 per transaction if I've understood correctly

I can usually get $1 a bottle with just the $3 off 2 q's so hoping for a little better

See I'm still new at this but I always wonder if I'll be able to find a better deal and if I should hold out. This Pantene deal and the Banana Boat deal both have me second guessing myself these last few days. What is your opinion on the Banana Boat deal? Do you have an idea of what you would consider a good price for brand name sunscreen?

I actually don't buy sunscreen often and I usually get No Ad so I am a bad reference. As for Pantene, it is my favorite and I try to stock up at $1. It was part of the CC deals a while ago and it brought it down to around $.80. I had stocked up a few weeks before at $1 and I was so annoyed with myself

I usually buy No Ad too but I figure with coupons I can get the good stuff LOL!!!!!!!!!

I just started couponing at CVS, there was a coupon $3/2 and it came out to around $1 and I think there was some sort of toothpaste deal at that time also. I think it was late Feb or early March. I was excited but I was only buying one paper at the time so only got 2 bottles hahahaha! I saw that there is a new P&G rebate and I guess it made me feel like I had to jump on this deal to take advantage of that. Since the rebate ends the first week of June I suppose I can wait .

I keep trying to come up with scenarios with very little OOP but after the first couple bottles it just gets to be too much OOP for me. Luckily I got a bunch of the Banana Boat $2 hang tags from someone so maybe I'll just get enough for one deal and try to stock up when it's all on clearance or a better deal comes along.

I am too. I'm passing this week and hope something better will come later. Plus I stocked up on the clearance bottles in January so I'm not in need right now.

Thanks so much for this, I bought 8 shampoo/conditioners today! Also, the register printed out a $4 ECB for Pantene purchase. On another note, I shared my great deal on a couponing FB page that I'm a member of, where I was accused of cheating CVS for this illegal deal. I used 2 BOGO 1 $3/2 and 1 $1. It was all the Pantene Q's I had... could have been better, but I got those 6, plus 6 Jet Dry, 2 Soft Soap bar soaps packs, 4 Milky Way bars and 1 bottle of Dr. Pepper for $2something...

I don't see what can be better than free, but then again I've only been at this for 6 months so maybe the "pros" have seen much better deals. Considering you're getting beauty club and can submit for the $10 rebate, this is a winner for me.

I did the banana boat deal a couple weeks ago and I believe it ended up being about $1 per bottle plus tax, which to me is a great price considering I have 2 little ones and we are going to Florida next week. I can't remember exact details but they were spend $25 get $10 back and I used 4-$2 off hang tags and a $3/15 fb coupon....

You are right, this is a great deal. When many of us didn't see it it was before the $3/2 were available. What you have here also requires a 4/20 which not everyone has. I am planning on doing it this week with two 3/15s + filler if I can find something free, like a refresher.

They are now 7.99 each, I also did it when they were 6.99

4 @ 6.99 = 27.96
-$3 $3/$15 FB
-$8 4 $2 off hang tags.

$16.96 with $10 ECB back. Like paying 6.96 or $1.74 each

4 @ 7.99 = 31.96
-6 2 $3/$15 FB
-8 4 $2 off hang tags

17.96 with $10 ECB back or like paying 7.96 or $1.98 each

It's a monthly deal under the spend $25 get $10 ECB and still available with a limit of 4 rewards. The hang tags are in the store if you can find them.

This was a good deal for me because I needed it and couldn't find the spray for cheaper. I buy these during the season because sunscreen expires so I don't usually stock up unless it has a late expiry. I don't follow expiry dates on toothpaste or deodorant, but I do for sunscreen.

Quaz is right about most people seeing it as not a good deal before the $3/2 came out. Additionally for people in high tax, pre coupon states that dont prefer Pantene and may not have any $/$$ coupons this isnt a great deal at all since it works out to almost $1 a bottle. The only reason this is a deal I am doing is because I will see the money back in the P and G rebate.

Personally I dont love the scenarios that use a $/$$ (as posted for all to use, not the *this is what I am planning on doing* posts) because it assumes that everyone has access to $/$$ coupons and not everyone does. We all know we can use a $/$$ if we have one to make a deal better. Along those same lines I dont love the scenarios listed as free or MMer that are using the rebate to make it free or MMer. We can only do the rebate once and there are so many possibilities. And yes I do realize that the same argument could be made for any coupon since most are regional but at least you have a chance to trade for or buy a coupon...the same cant be said for $/$$ and rebates are a hard limit.

Edited to add: That sounded way harsher than I meant it. No offense meant to anyone that posts scenarios...I would rather read through 20 I cant do to find that one gem I wouldnt have seen by myself than do without the one I wouldnt have seen by myself. I think I am just bitter that I dont have the seemingly unlimited supply of 3/15s that you all have since i was away when the end was announced. Thanks to all that post any legit scenario...even if you use $/$$ and rebates in them.

I did the Pantene deal, and the manager was the one who rang me up. I was buying 4 bottles, and was going to use 2 BOGO q's and only 1 $3/2, but he told me I could use 2! Plus, the BOGO took off the full $4.99! I wish I had more q's! So this was my transaction:
4 @ 2 for $6.97= 13.94
2 BOGO q's=9.98=$3.96
2$3/2 q's=6=-$2.04

$2.04 moneymaker! I've never had a mm transaction before! Woohoo!

Monkeydawn, GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!!!!! We think the same about a lot I didn't think you came across harsh. I completely agree that $/$$ are bonuses, not MMs. They can turn a transaction into a MM (woot woot!) for the individual or make a transaction worth doing for an individual but I tend not to consider them when thinking of scenarios.

Your manager really really likes you. That 2nd $3/2 beeped and then the manager just decided to take $4.99 instead of the correct price. Lucky you but if the manager really did this then if you include your ECB return your up $6 before tax. Or did you mean you bought 2 for $6.97 four times?

Just did the pantene deal with a 5/30 that came in!! Lady who checked me out though was v dubious about letting me use 4 bogo after she had scanned 2 3/2 coupons...I was buying 8 products,..

I explained the above to her that I was paying for 4 getting 4 free and using 2 coupons on the paid ones!

She was v suspiciously looking at me but she has previously sighed saying she never gets the good coupons!? So might have been a bit of coupon jealousy;p
