In the ad scan on several items it says the price + crv with card. What does this mean? I have never noticed it before.

It is a fee some pay on beverages that can be reimbursed when the containers are returned to recycle. I believe the C stands for California so the ad scan may be CA.

CRV is California redemption value. It's 5 cents. So on a 12 pack of coke we have to add 60 cents.

We have this in NY too, but don't you get the 60 cents back when you return the bottles? I remember going to CA once and learning that you don't have bottle redemption in every store though I think here every store that sells bottles has to take them or have a machine...not sure about drugstores, but definitely every supermarket has the machines!

I don't think we have any bottle redemptions at the stores. The only thing I've seen is a regular recycling bin, where you don't get any money back. I only ever take my cans/bottles to a recycling center and get the standard $1.60/lb or whatever it is. If there is a thing in CA where you can get the exact money back then I'm doing it wrong. Haha!

I didn't actually try it since I only had 2 bottles, but I was told at Vans that only the Albertsons had a CRV thing. They didn't get into detail. Man, that's not fair! Ours is a "deposit" which we get back...but wikipedia says yours is different

About the CRVs...at least here in NY you can pay the deposits with store rewards. I didnt realize that the first time it happened and was super psyched about it. That is a legitimate way to turn store rewards into money

I went lastnight to get a few things one of which was the playtex. My question is I bought the 36ct. I used the buy 36ct get 18ct free that was fine i also was going to use $1/1 and the cashier said it wouldn't take that one since I got the small box free I thought it would attach to the 36ct box. Was I wrong?

Yes, I JUST found that out about the Walgreens Register Rewards...not sure if each deposit counts separately, but you can use the deposit as at least one of your extra "items" even if you have a coupon for your soda/water/etc.

I had the same issue... Some of the BOGO coupons attach to 2 items. If the barcode ends in a certain code ("14" I think) it will attach to the 2 items and you can't use any other coupon with it. HTH!

Soda coupons are rare, but I'm going to try it again if the opportunity comes up. I'm not 100% sure if I had it wrong and I didn't need a filler, but I'm pretty sure it did work.

If you have Target nearby you may check there for recycling. The 2 Targets near me both take recycling- cans and plastic bottles and they give exact money back, not per lb. it's done at their customer service desk. And it helps if you take them already counted and you give them the count.
