Just wanted to pass the word along. Manager at my store advised me she got an email from corp askin to inventory their remaining cash cards.

She said this may possibly mean cash card deals coming back?!

Maybe they noticed the decline in sales? People aren't as enthusiastic about just getting free cereal or toilet paper. I personally haven't gone to CVS as much since they stopped the cash card deals. I really hope they bring them back.

I hope it's doesn't mean that a packing slip will come in the next email to send them back to corp!!

I really do miss the CC. They helped a lot!! I am not as excited about the buy this get that deal. It peaked my interest, but nowhere near what the CC deals did!!

Let's just hope they bring them back.

I thought his SO pregnant as well! I hate to say that I can't imagine they would notice a decline in sales 1 week after stopping the cash cards. They may see it has been a not as good week but I don't think they would be revisiting the idea of cash cards based on a week of sales. I sincerely hope they have been planning to bring them back all along.

There are a lot of other things I think of though when asked to inventory. Are they checking numbers to make sure the right number of cards were issued? Are they going to use them as store credit now? Are they considering recalling them? Are they finding more cards being used than correctly issued? I really hope I am wrong and they are looking ahead to future card deals. I guess I am having a slightly depressing day!

I was having the same chat with my manager!! i asked what those cash cards they had left are doing on the counter..she said they are for sale..I said i missed that program and she said its coming back!!! they love it too!! she said they never had so many sales in large quantities as they did during those promos..so this summer look for it again!! soon!!

Summer is 3 loooooong months away! Maybe we should plan a mass 3 month CVS hiatus to get it back sooner

I love having the giftcards and CCs to use to pay the small difference and tax so I don't have to hand over any type of cash out of my pocket :-) I wonder tho if that reflects on our total quarterly spending. I got $1 back this time, but the prev quarter, nada.

I agree with you as to why I love them! They actually come out of your spending when you earn them and are then put back in when you use them.

Spend $30, earn GC
Total amount applied to quarterly spending is $20

Next transaction:
Spend $15 - use GC and $5 cash
$15 applied to quarterly spending

Cash card or gift card deal I'm not picky I do kinda like the gas card deal but $10. Don't go too far when gas gets up to. 3.50 ish a gallon my stock pile is pretty much depleted and need some help in restocking and the cash card deal really helped alot

You may want to check with your store I don't know about your store but I read someone else did it here so I asked my manager and she said it was ok ... She allowed me to buy an expensive item with my extra bucks and then return it and since i used extra bucks they had to put it on a gift card --- I did this with each of my cards because it was when I was buying olay stuff so I literally had close to 60-100 ECB on each card which after the olay stopped I did not need to roll ... this was so nice to do because now i have ecb all sitting on money cards

Your Manager allowed that? Maybe because you didn't earn back any ECB's in return? I can't see our Manager allowing us to purchase a big ticket item with ECBS only to turn around and return it. Of course, tho, it would have to be returned on a Gift Card. Glad it worked for you, tho.

Right well she figured it did not much matter considering the money was going to be used at the store anyone ... Its not like I took the item home used it then brought it back
