The heat patches really suck! The package says it will heat up in 30 minutes. An hour past and not even 1 degree of heat increase. I am thinking of writing a complaint letter to the company for making such a productl ike this... Last edited by soph1aa; 02-21-2012 at 09:23 PM. |

Is it worth getting it for free since it has such bad reviews?

this was the whole reason for my thread posted. It is FREE at wags although i had to pay tax so i got it in hopes that it can't be THAT BAD... i got one cream and one heat patch. Haven't tried the cream yet but the heat patch is horrible. so horrible idk why it's still in the market. of course this is my opinion. The reason i posted this thread was that if it was decent or good quality as the thermacare, i was going to order coupons and STOCK UP however that is not the case anymore. Just the two inserts i recieved in the Sunday paper is fine. |

I'm definitely a huge fan of the thermacare, especially the menstrual ones. But I got 6 of these this week. I'll either use them or put them in gift baskets.

i prefer the thermacare back wraps for when my back acts up and need relief and they do pretty good( mostly because they are easier to keep in place) , but my aunt who had knee replacement and stands in a rugmill all day said the tylenol patches really helped her get through the day. I can't speak much for the cream but the way i figure if you can try it for free to find out if it works for you go for it. you won't know til you try.

Id have to say i havent tried it but trying thermacare- and seeing everyone's opinion on it- then icyhot must be thebest out there. It sticks well gives that cool numbing in the beginning then the warmth kicks in... I have chronic back pain and occassional knee so ive used these millions of times. Any deals for icy hot? I'd read the bad reviews, but thought I'd try them anyway when they were free or a MM awhile back. Tried the heat patch and hated it. Nothing like Thermacare. I would not take the heat patches for free, not even to give away.

I'm an oddball I guess, because I actually LOVE the precise patches. The one issue I have, like another member, is that they don't stick real well after several hours. But, my clothes keep them in place quite nicely until I change. I was crossing fingers, toes, and anything else that we got those coupons. I broke my neck last year and have pain quite often, so I use them for that. I also have minor back problems and they help. Also, I am recovering from an eating disorder, so the thermacare WRAPS are horrid for me...makes me concentrate on my tummy. HTH!

I hate the patches from Tylenol. They dont seem to work. Best patches I have found are the Salonapas patches. The Tylenol cream seems to do better than the patches. I even complained to Tylenol about the patches, 1 they wouldnt stick to my arm, 2. they didnt heat up and 3. when taking them off they left a film where the adhesive was on my skin. Wont be using those patches again, but I will use the cream.
