I was told today by a CVS mgr that they will no longer be accepting internet coupons. She stated that corp. called and stated the current coupons are ficticious and will not be honored by CVS anymore. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It is a sad sad day

Used a bunch today. Just a rumor or a bad CVS/manager. Try another one!

Just called my CVS and the manager said they take them just like always...

Wait, do you mean any internet q's or the $/$$$? I used mfr q's, haven't used the new CVS q's yet. Considering all the people who used them before being released I wouldn't doubt it if they pulled them.

It would have to be a corporate wide thing. If it were true it would be on their site and everyone with an extra care card would most likely get some kind of communication. Plus how can they be fictious if they show an actual link from the CVS site? I have been told by managers themselves that they have employees who use the Qs.

| Nope CVS aint gonna pull the ones for this coming weekend. One reason why the self check outs SCO's (NO manager approval needed) in So California have been closed is someone got creative and made up some great $15/$15 and crammed the drawers full (Orange County-Riverside County) They will re-open tomorrow or friday but with a "watcher" to make sure the drawers dont get crammed full again. | CVS with self checkout?!? Never heard of such a thing! Personally I avoid self scan since I always have coupons. I do not believe that someone could come up with a $15/$15 that scans without insider info! Sounds totally bogus to me ~ but JMHO! I don't need a $15/$15 ~ I do just fine using 1 $X/$XX per order. Today I got: 11 make-up 2 Pierrer 8 Coke 20 oz 4 Speed Stick deoderant 2 boxes CVS trash bags 2 bags Halls Defense I paid $2 in tax off a gift card and have more in ECB's than I started with. |

how can someone use the 15/15 xx/xxx if they have barcodes on them now? and how did the cashier put them in? when i have coupons that dont scan i cant use it they wont enter it because the register wont take it if its scanned in manually also? hhmmmmmm what joke whoever doing that! they should feel ashamed.

Even the coupons with barcodes have 5-digit codes that can be entered in. Anyway, I don't know how they would make a coupon either, but apparently, as MaryGod said, they got away with it At any rate, I spoke with my mgrs and they laughed at the idea of CVS stopping accepting $/$$. The reason is that they would be basically not honoring their own ads. As for the OP, I suggest you let corporate know about their denial of the coupons and see where it goes from there. It's false advertising for CVS to send you a coupon or even put a coupon out there (as in the diabetes book) and then not accept it. That was where the whole problem with the Nova Max/Breeze meters coupons came in. Stores were not accepting them. When mine didn't w/ the NOva Max, I called corp. Corp called my store and told them that they had to adjust it because it is a CVS coupon. So, they did and I got my meters. I would imagine the entire chain would be the same.

ok i am not a cvs'er but with all of the dramam and rumors I am thinking it'd be in cvs's best interest to mail the $/$$ coupons directly to card holders if they want to ensure they are not abused.
