Hey everyone!! I currently do most all my shopping at Meijer, Walgreens & Target. I'm extremely jealous of the savings you guys are making at CVS. I do not have a CVS in my area, however I visit my parents (which is about 40 minutes away) usually once a week/every other week and there is one right by there house. I'm thinking about making it a priority to shop there but am curious as to if it is worth it to look up the add online and gather coupons/list and go there?! Can someone please *simply* explain how the ECB's work? I don't like dealing with rebates, and I won't will I have that at CVS? Any pro's/cons you have about CVS is greatly appreciated!!!

CVS is the best and it's very worth it! ECB's are printed at the end of your receipt and can be used in your next purchase just like cash! (however you don't get change back from them, if you have $7.00 worth of ECB's and a $6.00 purchase, you'll lose the dollar...)

ECBs expire 1 month after you recieve them. The trick is to use your CVS and manu coupons to get your total as low as possible, and use the ECBs last to pay the difference. As Jen812 said, you can't get change from them, so you need to be careful to spend them wisely.

I know it's a little intimidating to begin with, but I promise, it's not hard at all and WELL worth the time you spend planning. Sunday was my first time ever and I am totally hooked now. Sunday I got over $100 worth of stuff for $30 out of my pocket and earned 18 ECB. Yesterday I again bought over $100 worth of stuff, paid $1.99 out of pocket and went home with 24 ECBs Today I got about $25 worth of stuff for 0.23 and still have 21 ECBs.

Definitely worth the time to go. It takes me like an hour to put an order together (granted Adam is bothering me the WHOLE time) and another hour or so out of my day to go... but, boy, in the end... I'm glad I did!

It really is a lot of fun I think, it does take some time, cutting and sorting out all of the coupons, then trying to match them with the sale items, then trying to get the CVS $$.$$ off coupons tied in with everything...and then please try and have a back up plan just in case your CVS store doesn't let you stack your coupons, the $.$$, (like the $4.00 off of 20, 3 off of 15, then 2 off 10, not all CVS will let you do this...)But it is defintely worth the time, and if it works its even better...Good Luck to you...

It's so much fun to put your deal together, and get the awesome savings!! Very worth it, I think!! I can't bear to think that there was a CVS right near my house for so long, and I had no idea of the deals I could get!! It is a bit of work, but if you go slowly at first it helps. It's so nice to get the ECB's on your receipt, and use them as cash for your next trip! You're gonna love it!!

Totally worth it. I have so many friends who tell me they just don't want to take the time to figure out the deals, for me it is totally worth it. If you go once you will be hooked. It is an addiction.

ok so i am confused about the ecb. if i buy lets say the pepsi ecb deal, then i can use the ecb cash the very next time? the way i read it online is that they disperse it kinda like a rebate on a schedule.

Any ECB you earn for an item in the ads comes out on the receipt once the requirement is met. There is also a quarterly ECB you earn, 2% on all purchases plus $1 for every 2 prescriptions filled, the quarterly bonus is the one that prints on a schedule. HTH
